Education is key to a country's progress. That's why we say, "Education is the backbone of a nation." Just like a person stands strong with a healthy spine, a nation grows and moves forward with good education. The more educated the people, the more advanced and successful the nation. Good education improves people's thinking. Like a lamp brightens its surroundings, an educated person helps their family, society, and country. This also helps others, especially the less fortunate, to get educated and improve their lives.

How do you see the empowerment of women through education?

"Give me an educated mother, I shall promise you the birth of a civilized, educated nation"
~ Napolean Bonaparte (18th Century)

The above statement by Napoleon Bonaparte was indeed appropriate. Women's education is crucial for the development of a country. The role of women's education is significant in building an ideal, educated, and advanced nation. Through women's empowerment, a country can reach the pinnacle of progress. Therefore, in my view, women's empowerment is extremely necessary for the advancement of a country. To achieve Planet Fifty-Fifty, the awakening of women's power is essential. And one of the main ways to awaken this power is through education. The faster women become educated, the stronger they will become. Therefore, in my eyes, education is very important for the empowerment of women.

In this case, do women face any obstacles?

Women face various barriers on the path to empowerment through education. These obstacles can come in various forms, including social, economic, and many others.

• In our country's education system, parents are often unwilling to spend more money on their daughters' education. Sons are given priority in the education system, resulting in girls being deprived of education.

• Due to gender discrimination, girls fall far behind in educational opportunities. Additionally, child marriage and the dowry system force girls into domestic work, preventing them from attending school or college.

• In poor countries, girls do not receive the necessary nutrition, leading to health problems and falling behind in education.

• If schools and colleges are far away, many girls do not attend due to transportation issues and security concerns.

• Girls lag significantly in digital technology.

• Even when girls achieve higher degrees through education, they often do not get suitable job opportunities due to gender discrimination in the workplace. Their wages are often much lower than those of men, causing them to lose interest in work.

• There are many other reasons why many girls do not receive the necessary education.

What is the effect of education on women?

Education has a multifaceted effect on women, playing an important role in their personal, family, and social lives. Through education, a woman becomes empowered and transforms into a stronger individual.

• An educated woman can join various jobs, earning money which helps her become self-reliant. I personally experienced this when I worked for some time and realized how peaceful earning money can be and how much it empowers women.

• An educated woman is much more aware of health services. She effectively adopts family planning and is knowledgeable about nutrition and healthcare, which significantly reduces maternal and child mortality rates.

• Education enables women to actively participate in social and political activities. They often take on leadership roles. For example, like many other countries, the Prime Minister of Bangladesh is a woman. This shows how far education has taken women.

• Women's education makes them more aware and helps reduce gender discrimination. Educated women can advocate for equal rights and opportunities in society.

• An educated mother educates her children, which is very important for a country.

• Educated women are much more aware of their own safety, making them better equipped to protect themselves compared to uneducated women.

• Education also strengthens women mentally and boosts their self-esteem. Today, we see many female writers and YouTubers who have reached great heights. Women are also not far behind in science and technology, with many serving as CEOs and scientists. This has all been made possible through education.

In short, education has a far-reaching and positive impact on women, reflected in every aspect of their lives. Empowering women through education not only contributes to their personal development but also plays a crucial role in the overall development of society.

What do you think can be the initiatives and programs to empower education through women?

To empower women through education, various principal programs can be adopted. These programs would help increase educational opportunities, improve quality, and enhance their capabilities.

• Special scholarships and financial assistance should be provided to girls so they can continue their studies. In our country, girls are given scholarships, which is a very good initiative by the government. I also received scholarships when I was in school and college.

• Awareness about health and education for girls needs to be increased.

• Girls need to be developed technologically and taught to operate modern equipment.

• Girls should be provided with greater security so they do not face safety concerns in schools and colleges.

• Working mothers should be given many facilities to ease their difficulties in balancing work and family life.

• Child marriage and dowry practices must be eradicated from society.

• Girls should also acquire skills in handicrafts alongside their education.

If these initiatives and programs are effectively implemented, the educational opportunities for women will increase, and they will be able to achieve their rightful place in society. This will accelerate the overall development of society and the country.
