What Is Thermostat?

Thermostat is a programmable device that monitors, senses and regulates the ambient air temperature in a particular environment and also indicates the processes of the temperature which falls below or rise above. They record a temperature within the desired range and signals the system to stop the heating or cooling process.

Example, When the temperature in a room rises above a pre-programmed level, the thermostat senses it and sends electrical signals telling the AC air conditioning system to produce cold air it works the same way when heating,when the room temperature falls below the preset temperature, the thermostat will generate electrical signals instructing the boiler to operate and create warm air for the environment. These components includes refrigerator units, car cooling systems, and cooling HVAC air conditioning systems. They help maintain a constant room temperature, and its a vital element of an expected level of comfort.

There are many benefits of digital thermostats in the sense that they're convenient to use at any time. Most electronic thermostats have digital, easy-to-read screens that depict the current temperature in a room or home.

Disadvantages of thermostat.

• thermostats are expensive and some units requires professional installation.

• If there is a lack of proper use, then the thermostats are not considered as energy-saving.

• Not suitable for all heating and cooling systems.
