Through this contest I have to choose one topic from five topics, out of which I have chosen Believe. Today I am going to present my post about believe in front of you.

Believe means to agree on the truth of something even if there is no proof for it.

Faith, trust, reliability, credit, certainty, firm belief and conviction, all these are some other meanings of believe.

For example: believing in the statements of a person.

Believing in a positive statement or story.

I always believe in God. On every special day of mine, I always go to the temple and worship God. And God also never lets my faith break. Whatever I need, I always get it by the grace of God.

And whenever I am upset or going through a difficult time. Even then I remember God and God always solves my problems.

Because God only needs faith and belief. Whoever goes to God with complete faith and belief, God fulfills his every wish.

Today I want to tell you all a true story of God and his devotee.

In ancient times, there used to be a king named Hiranyakashyap in our country who had a son named Prahlad. Prahlad was a true devotee of Lord Vishnu.

Hiranyakashyap was very angry when Prahlad refused to worship his father as God. Because he believed only in Lord Vishnu.

Hiranyakashyap tried everything possible to shake Prahlad's faith. Hoping that he would break his faith, he punished his son with anger. He tried to poison Prahlad. Tried to get him crushed by elephants. And even tried to throw him down a hill. But every time Prahlad's unwavering faith saved him.

After many attempts, the most infamous incident was that of Holika. Holika was the sister of Prahlad's father. Holika was blessed with protection from burning by fire. Both the siblings together made a plan to burn Prahlad alive. Then Holika sat on the pyre with Prahlad in her lap. She forgot that any boon works only when it is used for good deeds but she misused her boon. However her boon only worked when she entered the fire alone. As soon as the flames rose, Holika started burning in it while nothing happened to Prahlad, once again God saved him.

Holika thought that she would survive and the fire would not burn her but because of her bad deeds she was burnt to ashes.

This miraculous event is celebrated in our country as the festival of Holi which is considered to be a symbol of victory of good over evil.

Believe and faith are considered synonymous but there is a significant difference between them. Faith involves trust and it is maintained despite doubts. While belief is something that we take for granted.

Every person should always have full faith in himself. When he believes in himself, others will also believe in him. When he does not have faith in himself, he will start comparing himself with others and will be filled with inferiority complex.

Some advantages and disadvantages of faith:

Faith increases self-confidence and brings courage in a person.

With the help of faith, big tasks can be done easily.

When a person has faith in his mind, he moves forward even by taking risks.

Having faith brings positivity in a person's mind.

With faith, a person sits in the driver's seat of his life's journey.

Lack of faith or more faith, both can be harmful.

Sometimes too much faith leads to superstition.

Superstition means believing something without thinking, understanding, seeing, testing, without guessing the conclusion that will come out. Due to which there is never any benefit in life, only loss.
