The monthly allowance for Corps Members in Nigeria is Thirty-Three Thousand Naira (N33,000) and It is no longer a rumor that the Federal Government has approved the increase of Corps Members' monthly allowance to Seventy-Seven Thousand Naira N77,000 with effect from July 2024 and it is in line with the enactment of the National Minimum Wage (Amendment) Act 2024.

As a corps member in the country, I was never aware of the development that the federal government has approved the increase of the corps members' allowance from 33,000 naira to 77,000 thousand naira.

Yesterday that was 25th of September, 2024, a lot of people both families and friends kept calling me on the phone and congratulating me on what I didn't even know, it was them who told me about the latest development that happened.

I was so happy with the current development even though I have not it the said amount drop in my bank account yet but with so much faith and belief, I am so happy about it.

After I heard the good news from my people yesterday, immediately I went to various platforms on social media and I confirmed that the good news I heard was not a rumor as in previous times but through.

According to the story, the announcement was contained in a letter from the National Salaries, Incomes and Wages Commission, dated 25th September 2024 and signed by the Chairman, Mr. Ekpo Nta

The Director General, NYSC Brigadier General YD Ahmed, according to a reliable source paid an advocacy visit to the Chairman in which he solicited for a robust welfare package for Corps Members in Nigeria.

The NYSC Boss was very happy and also thankful to the Federal Government for the timely gesture and is optimistic that it will not only bring much-needed succor to the Corps Members but also boost their morale and motivate them to do even more, in their service to the nation.

What you have learned from it

I have learned that the federal government of Nigeria is aware of the hardship that Nigerians are currently going through and this action they have taken shows that ready to wipe away the tears in Nigerian's eyes which they have started.

Finally, as I look forward to seeing the increase of my monthly allowance as a corper, I want to use this platform to appreciate the government of Nigeria for the implementation of the new minimum wage across the country and as the country's economic is presently going down, we also hope for a better Nigeria. God bless Nigeria and Nigerians.

Thank you all for your usual support, love, and time that you have dedicated to reading my post. I love you all❤

I want to invite @vickyson and @owulama
