Hello Everyone !

I’m happy to take part in the Choices! What Will It Be? #77 contest, organized by @patjewell. In this post, I will be sharing a story related to faculty, which I read in a novel. It’s based on the true story of a girl who faced many challenges in her studies but was helped by a kind professor who supported her and helped her succeed.I want to show how teachers and mentors can make a big difference in a student’s life.

Kashaf was born into a struggling family, where financial burdens weighed heavily on her mother, who worked as a school teacher. Her father, in his pursuit of a son, had remarried, neglecting his three daughters and first wife.

Despite the hardships, Kashaf's mother ensured her daughters received an education, even though they lived in poverty and couldn’t afford many necessities.

Kashaf, the eldest, was an exceptionally bright student. After completing her intermediate studies, she stood out for her brilliance and hard work. Her mother, despite limited resources, encouraged Kashaf to apply to a prestigious university.

However, her father was unhappy about his daughter seeking higher education, as he had always wanted a son to carry his legacy, and he disapproved of Kashaf's ambitions.

Nevertheless, Kashaf was determined and won a position at the university, ranking at the top of the admission list. Her academic success drew attention, but her experiences with her father left her distrusting men, and she kept herself distant from classmates, particularly the boys.

She remained focused on her studies, despite the judgment from others about her reserved nature and modest appearance.

At the university, Kashaf faced frequent criticism for her looks and her quiet demeanor, but none of it deterred her. She continued to excel in her studies, and soon her potential was noticed by one of her professors, Professor Ahmed.

He saw her struggles and provided her with guidance, motivation, and the fatherly support she had been craving. He often called her "beta," a term of endearment she never heard from her own father.

Professor Ahmed treated her like his own daughter, guiding her through her academic journey and encouraging her to aim higher. He suggested that Kashaf prepare for the CSS (Central Superior Services) exam, knowing that she had the brilliance and determination to succeed in such a prestigious field.

As Kashaf began her CSS preparations, she faced financial constraints, but Professor Ahmed was always there to help. He found study materials and lent her books from libraries to support her dream.

Kashaf, who had longed for her father’s love, found a father figure in Professor Ahmed. His belief in her fueled her determination, and after months of relentless hard work, Kashaf sat for the CSS exam.

When the results were announced, she ranked 18th in the entire country a moment of triumph not just for her but for everyone who supported her.

Overjoyed, Kashaf immediately called Professor Ahmed to thank him for everything he had done. They both cried tears of happiness as her dream of becoming a civil servant came true. With her new job, Kashaf was able to provide for her family, lifting them out of poverty.

Her father, who had never supported her, was shocked to learn of her success. After years of neglect, he returned to her home with sweets to congratulate her, but Kashaf had no desire to accept his belated affection. She had long made peace with the fact that he never cared for her as he had for his other family.

Professor Ahmed continued to play an important role in her life, not only as a teacher but as a guiding figure. His constant support, care, and fatherly guidance had given Kashaf the strength to overcome the adversities of her personal life and succeed in her academic journey.

Through him, Kashaf found educational support but also emotional strength, making him a pivotal part of her success story.Later, one of her university classmates, a boy who had admired Kashaf for a long time, expressed his desire to marry her.

Not knowing how to approach her directly, he confided in Professor Ahmed, who he knew shared a close bond with Kashaf. The boy asked Professor Ahmed to speak on his behalf and convey his marriage proposal to Kashaf. When Professor Ahmed told Kashaf about the proposal, she was initially hesitant.

Trusting Professor Ahmed's judgment, she took his advice. Professor Ahmed assured her that the boy had good intentions and was a kind hearted individual. Believing in her mentor’s wisdom, Kashaf agreed to the proposal.Kashaf's decision led to a happy marriage.

Unlike her father, her husband was caring and supportive, making their life together filled with love and mutual respect. In this way, Professor Ahmed helped Kashaf achieve her professional dreams and also guided her towards personal happiness. His role in her life as a mentor and father figure was beautiful to read , and she remained grateful for his presence throughout her journey.

There are many Kashaf in our society. If they all received such assistance from knowledgeable elders, their position could change.
