It feels so good to be back after along time. I want to appreciate @ruthjoe for being an amazing person thank you for this contest.

MY STORY

Waking up early this week to the call of my mother.
She was so scared her voice was shaking and she was so scared and worried at the same time.
What could be wrong I wondered as I patiently wait for her to say what the problem was.

She was saying a lot of things at the same same time, but one constant was she asking me to go to my brother's house.

At a point I couldn't wait for her to say what happened, I interrupted her and asked her what had happened and why the sudden request for me to pay my brother a visit.

She then told me what happened.
My brother had been rubbed on the morning of Sunday.
The thief made away with everything. Okay if the thieves made away with everything how did he reach you? I asked, she said my brother had called with an unknown number that morning.

I requested for the number and called. A lady picked and said she is a neighbor and also a victim.
According to her my brother and other victims had gone to the station to make a report.

While we were talking, she began to narrate how the whole thing happened.

According to her the thieves came prepared. They should be more than 20 to be able to rub the whole neighborhood at the same time.

They entered their compound with a ladder and used weathering machine to break through the protectors.

The entered each flat four men team. After rubbing each person they would lock the person up in the toilet and make away with their belongings.

After listening to her , I was curious to know how her own phone was still with her. She said she had his that particular phone in the toilet out of fear. The took her other phones. So she called her friend who came and opened her toilet door for her. So together with her friend they opened the door for other flat mate, including my brother.

After listening to her, I became more disturbed, I really want to hear from my brother.

He just packed into that building and recently he bought some new gadgets because he is website developer.
He bought his curve screen monitor and some new laptops, he had used almost all his savings to get his work station ready.

Oh what had happened, while we were still talking my brother and others walked in and she gave him the phone.
The first thing I asked him was, what and what did they take from you, and his reply was everything aunty, tears dropped from my eyes.

I knew I had to be strong and encourage him. I asked him if he was okay and he said he is fine.
After talking to him , I sent him some money as they had cleared all the money in his account through his bank mobile app.

I sent him the money to eat and start coming to my place at least let him stay with me until he can put himself together.

By evening he came to my place and everybody was relaxed that he was away from that environment.

He was able to get a new phone that day and retrieved his call line.
While we got talking at home I could see how hurt he was inside because of this event. I was able to lighten his mood and he eat and went straight to bed.

I had learnt some basic lessons from what had happened to my brother.
One vital lesson I learnt was life would come at you but you must be ready to give it a fight. Before he went to bed he said

sister I want to sleep tomorrow I would be a better version of what they took from me.

Another lesson In this story is never move into an environment without taking into consideration the security details of the environment, because how was it possible that they rubbed for more than four hours and there was not security interruptions at all. That was bad.

Another lesson is a living dog is better than a dead Lion. Yes once you have life, you can do better that the dead person.

Thank you for reading thus far and engaging with my post. Pls I would want to know what you think and the lessons you have learnt from this story.

I would like to invite @alexanderpeace @ngozi996 @ceendy20
