"First Day of my School 🏫".

Hello Steemians, it is another day with a very interesting contest here in this community and I'm delighted to share my entry in this wonderful contest today. I will be answering the questions below about my first day in school.

Everyone has a first day he/she went to the school and my case is no different as well. I also have a day I call my first day in school which I will be sharing with you all today. I hope you will enjoy reading through my post.

🏫 Can you recall your first day of school? What was the most memorable moment?

Yes, I can recall my very first day in secondary school. I'm using secondary school because it is one of the stages I remember so well since I was little knowledge during that period.

On the first day, I went to school, I was with my father because he took me to take the entrance exams and also start immediately. The entrance exam is usually at the beginning of the term and you will write and wait for the result.

On that faithful day, we had the exams as early as 7:00 a.m, after which we waited for the result and then I was successful. Going to the class, I met a whole lot of new faces from far and near.

A test was given to us on that day and I came out victorious after writing and answering the question I was awarded some books and a pen and that made me so happy.

🏫 How did you feel on your very first day of school? Excited, nervous, or a mix of emotions?

It was a mix of emotions that day. I was so happy at some point and some point, I was wanting to go back home because the journey was looking very tough. From the screening section, I was already giving up because they need a limiter number of students that year.

I also felt good after seeing how it was fun making new friends and doing things with others. When I won the prize, people started associating with me more.

🏫 Did you make any new friends on your first day? If so, how did you initiate the friendship?

Yes, I made new friends on my first day in school. As I said earlier, I was able to win a prize when the teacher asked a question that no one was able to answer. With that answer, the new people I met there all started coming closer to me to ask some questions.

So with that, many told me that they will like us to be friends and have a group for ourselves where we can be teaching each other. It sound interesting to me so we started from there.

🏫 How did your parents or guardians help prepare you for your first day of school?

There was nothing much because as it was the first day, I went earlier to the school and then after the exams those that passed were given the school wears and that was how I started school.

Before this time, I was always reading the past questions of the school in preparation for the exams. This is one of the major things my parent did that made me successful because I was always forced to read daily.

🏫 If you could go back and change one thing about your first day of school, what would it be and why?

Well, if I were to change one thing from the first day I went to school, what I will change is shyness and fear. The reason is that I wasn't able to talk to a lot of good people that day until when we were about to finish school.

If I was with these great souls from the very beginning, I would have become a more better person because I would have learn more on time. I missed out of many opportunities because of not associating with them on time.
