Hello wonderful steemians, sincerely my involvement in the steem communities have been one of the best decisions I made last month after a long time of absence here. Sincerely I want to thank @ruthjoe for this wonderful context in the steem ladies and it’s my pleasure to be a participant.

Talking about a true story of my life with pictures and evidence, I have a very interesting story I’ll love to share and the lessons I’ve learnt in the cause.

So, as my line of business needs online publicity and visibility, I decided to meet one of our media guys in church to discuss my interest in learning how to make videos and how to edit them. Then he told me that we will be meeting on Thursday before our midweek service time(5PM) because Thursdays are our midweek service day in my church @owerrigospelhub in Owerri, Imo state. I was so happy and was really cool with the idea as well.

Fast forward to Thursday, I tried calling him, he didn’t pick, I messaged him on whatsapp, there was no response, I almost felt disappointed, but I still held on. I called him again in the afternoon, all to no avail, then I got his message on whatsapp of him asking if we will still be meeting that Thursday as discussed on Sunday, I wanted to get angry but then I just asked him, “will you still be chanced to come out”? I asked this question because I understood that nothing comes free again and anybody that can try to spare their time for you for free really have you at heart.

Then he didn’t respond to my chat again, so I was tempted to just stay in the house till some minutes to 5 before I start going to church knowing that the class won’t hold again but nevertheless, I told myself to still go to church even though it’s to just sit down doing nothing because I believe it’s better to be early to church than to come late.

As I was just there in the church, I was feeling bored so I decided to record a TikTok video because I was looking too beautiful to not take a selfie, then I brought out my phone camera, placed the camera on the stacked chairs at the corner of the church. Just as I was there struggling on how to record the video, one of our members, a cool guy(funny enough, he’s our security coordinator in church but an influencer in the media space) who has a knowledge on videos and editing came around and asked me of what I was trying to do, I told him that I actually came to church to learn something about video editing but the person didn’t show up so I decided to do a video of myself, then he made a statement, “what you want to learn is not that complicated”, and I was like what do you mean, then he asked me some few questions, I answered and then he said we should take some pictures in which we did and I’ll post some, then he thought me how to post pictures on instagram, TikTok, Facebook and whatsapp status at the same time, with music, he taught me how to share people’s posts, how to collaborate with people on instagram and I was so wowed.

Sincerely, I had given up on learning something new that day but I’m grateful God sent someone else to teach me some of the things I need to learn.

The lessons learnt.

• To be determined, don’t give up easily even when it looks like there’s no road, keep pushing.
• Don’t limit God in your thought.
• Be teachable that it doesn’t matter who comes around you, you should be willing to learn from them
• it’s better to be early to a meeting than to come late
• Don’t be a rigid person, learn to be flexible at all times to discern the people God sent to your lives for a season.
• Nothing comes free, that you got it free, someone paid the price.
• Learn to dress well, always look beautiful and presentable.
