You're good enough, stop comparing yourself to others

It is natural for people to compare themselves to others. If this doesn't happen, no one can see how well they are doing. Most people make unhealthy comparisons and end up causing problems for themselves such as low self-esteem, dependency, and even depression. This article will help you stop comparing yourself to others in a negative way.
1: Identify when you start comparing yourself to others.
This is not always easy to do but it is certainly worth it.Remember a time when you didn't feel the need to compare yourself to others. Write this down in your journal and keep thinking about when you started comparing regularly. This is powerful because it helps identify the root cause of your comparison habit. For example, you may have compared yourself to your sister in a negative way because you feel like she gets more attention from your parents than you do. When you write down how comparison makes you feel, you'll develop the motivation you need to change this harmful habit.
2: Be grateful and don't be hard on yourself
Most people take the things they already have in life for granted. Therefore, we recommend that you record an expression of gratitude in your diary every day. This helps you focus on yourself and not others. Think about the positive things in life that you are truly grateful for. You are healthy, you have a loving relationship, you have beautiful children, you have wonderful family and friends, you have a job, etc. When you compare yourself negatively to others, you will identify why you are not as good as them. Of course, this makes no sense and can lead to you seriously beating yourself up and telling yourself that you're not good enough. Instead of doing this, praise yourself for who you are and how far you've come. Ultimately, you will establish a positive mindset that will inspire you to do better in life.
3: Stop idolizing others and try to compare yourself to yourself.
If you have a habit of idolizing others, you need to stop doing that. By idolizing others, you only underestimate and devalue yourself. It's natural for people to compete with each other. But the downside is that there will always be others who are better than you at what you are striving for and that can really upsets you. Instead of competing with others, compete with yourself. When you do this, you will compete in a healthy way and it will really challenge you. Therefore, it is important that you set ambitious goals and monitor your progress regularly to be where you want to be and reach your final destination.
