SEC13 WK2 “Life partners and their qualities”

Marriage is an institution with diverse opinions about it. Some believe it is a sweet and happy partnership or union, while some others believe that it is the worst mistake someone can ever make.

However from my perspective, whether it is sweet or bitter is determined by the man and woman who formed the partnership.

So having made that clear, I am going to tell you some of the wonderful qualities my partner have and the worst ones too. This will be taken care of by me via the contest topic of @steemladies community, entitled Life partners and their qualities”.

What are your partner’s best and worse qualities? Why?

Every one alive have both good and bad qualities. Same is applicable to our mates. They have wonderful qualities as well as the bad we would like to change.

The 3 great qualities I love most in my partner are

Humility

It is true that he is the head of the family, but I found in him this quality of humility that no other man has. He exhibits this quality to the last. He does things that most men may find too hard to do. I will share one incidence soon.

This quality is seen in the way he treats me, in the way he treats our kids, in the way he treats his siblings even though he is the eldest of the 4 boys, even in the way he treats his parents. Some men will feel too big to even assist their wife with house chores, but not my partner.

This is also part of his caring attitude as he understands that my eye is not healed completely from the minor surgery I did last year and as such, he doesn't want it to get worst. He is helping out. Most men won't do this

slow to anger

He doesn't get angry easily. Yes, I love this quality so much. I am such a person that gets angry easily but I am trying hard to apply what I am learning from the scriptures. But he has surpassed me in this regard. Sometimes you feel that he will get angry in somethings but no. He just let go and overlook. But he will still find time to mildly let you know how he feels about that particular incidence.

Sympathetic

He sympathizes with anyone who is going through rough times, sometimes trying to put himself in their shoes and feeling the pains they are feeling. This is evidence in the way he feels about his parents, and any other person. I admire this quality a lot. Not just having the feeling, but also going out of his way to help them out even it means denying himself of some comforts.

His worst qualities

We are humans and as such, we can not just be 100% good in all things. That's is why, someone who has beautiful qualities can still exhibit worst qualities from time to time but it's expected though. If everyone is perfect, then the holy scriptures wouldn't have included this words below

Continue putting up with one another and forgiving one another freely even if anyone has a cause for complaint against another. Just as Jehovah freely forgave you, you must also do the same (Colossians 3:13 of the Holy scriptures from NWT)

Yes, there are times that I had to put up with his harsh words, his indifferent attitude to some of my emotional needs and his attitude of not caring for himself just to care for others. I know that he also is trying to put up with me because I know that I have some worst qualities that he may not really like about me. Hence, applying that quoted scripture above comes into play. We are just humans.

Share that one incident that made you love your partner even more

There are several incidences that had happened that made me to love him the most but I will just share a recent one. One that just happened today.

My daughter wanted to prepare beans porridge this morning while I was preparing to go out for exercise. Along the line, the kids decided to join me and this left the beans to be cooked after we return.

It happened that we stayed longer than expected over there due to so e people that wanted me to train them (I will share some details about the exercise in my diarygame soon to be posted).

The kids were very tired and hungry and I was too. But we were just talking to ourselves, that when we get home, we are still going to prepare the beans before we could eat. We are sighing as we were returning. But on a second thought,, I told them that it is possible that my partner, their father must have prepared the beans. The kids argued it. And I told them that I was going to call him to make sure. I then put up a call across and he confirmed that he prepared it.

Excitement filled the air as soon as the kids heard about it. They were so happy. I was happy too and felt very proud of him. This shows his kindness, humility and caring attitude. Incidences like this draws me more closer to him and makes me love him the more

	we look good together as you can see.

Conclusion

It your partner like mine? It is true that we are just humans. We all have both good and bad sides. We are not perfect but amidst it all, there must be something that can draw us closer to each other as partners. I am glad that mine has so many amazing qualities.
