Food Thought #11| Let's talk about Meditation!

It is my pleasure to have you again for our weekly "food thought." You are welcome to a beautiful week of possibilities!

Here you can find last week's episode in case you missed it.

The week's topic says "let's talk about Meditation!"

What is meditation? Meditation is a practice that involves focusing or clearing your mind from so many things, either stress or anxiety, using mental and physical techniques.

You know there are various things one could meditate on. It's just about having a quiet time alone to ease off. Sometimes it feels very heavy, and we want to take some burdens off our minds.

I hope not to confuse you here; just know that meditation is not thinking. Meditation eases stress, but thinking arouses stress. During meditation, you focus on one thing and get rid of some thoughts crowding your mind.

When you meditate, you have clarity on some issues of concern. You even gain more insight on how to handle some issues.

When I want to meditate, I usually play some spirit-filled music to get connected. I might be sitting with you and lost in meditation. It helps me keep clean my further actions. I also have a new way of seeing things after meditation.

Sometimes, give yourself a break and meditate. Life is not all about struggling, stressing, or hustling. It is true that all of these will come, but you have to take some time off to meditate.

Let me share some benefits of meditation.

• Meditation helps one relax, think positively, and sleep peacefully.

• It opens your eyes to different ways of seeing or viewing things.

• It reduces negative feelings and helps you be more creative.

Meditation keeps you cool and calm.

• It remolds and rebuilds you.

But don't forget, meditation requires a lot of practice. Since there are various ways to meditate, you could practice to know which one helps you better.

Just find time to shake off and be a better person.
