Hello friends,
Welcome to our food thought for the week. It's #17, and so far I am impressed with the positive responses I get. You can never stop doing life until you quit, and remember, quitters are losers.
We are looking at "smile, the best touch up" Do you smile or frown? First, let's talk about smiles. A smile is the way of showing happiness, love, kindness, friendliness, and appreciation. Smiling doesn't have a day, time, or weather, although some would say that smile has a season and moments, but that's not true because I don't think it does.
Have you ever wondered what the human face would look like without a smile? A smile is indeed the best touch up. It is the last thing I wear before leaving my house every day.
I would use myself as an example here; I am a smiley, and I don't let frowns steal my smile. In the church where I worshiped, I smiled a lot, and one day, I was spotted by someone who came to ask me some questions about myself. He said he was attracted by my smile and lured me into joining his unit in church. When I started serving in church wearing my smile, I became the center of attention.
See, a smile can melt a stone heart and even heal a broken heart. A smile is so magical that it does wonders for us without our notice. It doesn't matter what you are going through or what life presents to your doorstep; smile and move on.
When you wear a smile every day, you push sadness, bitterness, anger, and bad energy away. It takes a happy and joyful soul to smile, so it simply means that you have to be happy to wear a smile. Did you know that a smile keeps your face smooth and makes you look younger than your age? Yes, it does. Look at me and you will see.
Leonardo da Vinci said, "I love those who can smile in trouble."
Andy Rooney said, "If you smile when you are alone, then you really mean it."
Take a good look at these two quotes above and tell me what you picture. They both point to one thing: "Smile, the best touch up!" If you can smile when you are alone without the help of friends, calls, or chats, then you are the real deal. Staying alone and smiling is the same as looking at your problems and smiling.
Smiles are healthy. Yes, really. They lift our mood, lower stress, reduce pain, and even increase our productivitysource
You may ask, How can I smile when facing a tough life? Well, don't fake it because no fake smile makes a meaning, but you should remember what the Lord said in Psalms 68:19, "He daily loads us with benefits." This alone should make you smile. Everything is not about the now; what about before? What about when things were going well, when you were living in luxury, when you didn't have to succeed with the help of anyone but God?
Life before is called "beautiful memories." You should picture the things you enjoyed before and smile at them while you wait for the happenings now. A young lady who wants to marry and goes about wearing a frown because she's bitter inside, how will she be able to attract the men around her? The face is the first impression before the heart.
I just hope you won't lose your smile for anything. Life is too short to live offended. Your time will come; just wear that beautiful smile to kill it all. Smile, it's your turn!
Stay safe until I come your way again next week!
