A woman is a special being created, designed, and beautified by God. I don't think you know that women are the only beings that have direct access to God.

A woman is beautiful, bold, intelligent, smart, strong, and powerful. She is a mother, a partner, a soul mate, and a lover. I am proud to be a woman, and in my afterlife, I would love to be a woman.

How to celebrate women

Celebrating myself as a woman

For all the hard and easy work she does, the number of times she makes your life easy, and the out-numbered contributions she makes to society, a woman deserves an acknowledgement.

Besides, the reason International Women's Day was created was because of the hardships that women have gone through in the past. Appreciate the women in your life!

• You can tell the women in your life what difference they've made to you. It could be a faraway friend, a relative, or a colleague. Tell them how important they've been to you. It could be their words of encouragement or motivation, and you realized it had a strong effect on you. I think letting them know about it would empower them to do more.

• Supporting is always a good way to celebrate women. I think I know the "women support women scheme. Yes, this is where women come together to help each other, plan together, and share in each other's love and success. This is not the time to be jealous or start asking "why her?" 'why not me?"

• Create time for the women in your life. Women's nature is like that of a baby. They seek attention all the time. Don't always have work loads in the middle of a timeout. We usually have "ladies hang out." It's a time to bond, unite, have fun, feel loved, and embrace happiness. The time and seasons have been placed in our hands; it is up to us to create time.

• Show appreciation to the women in your life. Did I tell you that women are gift lovers? Oh, they love gifts so much. I am a woman, and I tell you this today: we love gifts. It doesn't necessarily have to be out of the world, but it has to be something from the heart to make them feel important. Gifts are the open gate to a woman's heart; yes, that's the first step.

If there are women around you who are going through the toughest times, you could try putting yourself in their shoes and imagine what you would want someone to do for you in that situation. Why not try reaching out to them, offering help and support in any way you can?

At times, we tend to forget the little things women value so much; a simple thank you inspires them a lot. Take the time to thank them through words of affirmation. Yes, we love praise; the words are sure to touch our hearts in the deepest way.

When women are celebrated, they feel loved, energized, and important. I don't support celebrating women only once a year; women should be celebrated every day because they do a lot.
