Tell your story#15(A Husband Failure to provide for his family)

**What happened.

My neighbor whose name is Priscilla got married to her husband some years back. Before the should get married,, people advised the woman to get something doing before the tie the knot with her husband,, but she turned deaf ears to what they were saying.. she said that the husband has the capacity to take care of her and her unborn kids. So she doesn't need to do anything that will fetch her money.

They later got married and she became a full time house wife,, because she was neither educated nor into any business or even have a skill. She has been a dependent woman, her husband provides everything for the family. Between the period of her pregnancy till she finally put to birth.

But everything later changed when she finally gave birth to their first children, the children happened to be twin, they are both females, named precious and praise. Though when the children were still very small, the husband still provides for the family, but not as he use to before again. He started giving the woman attitude and usually say some ill words to her before giving her any money.

Things became even more worse now,, that the man lost his job,, He no longer provide anything for the family again, the children has also stopped going to school simply because the Father can't afford for school fees.

The wife usually go from one place to another to seek for financial help before the eat in the house now,, the husband is there just watching what is happening to his family, both his children and wife,, are so frustrated and unhappy. But he isn't bothered or even disturbed about the situation of his family... He claims that he has done enough,, so it is now the wife's turn to provide for the family, knowing fully well that the wife doesn't have any source of income.

Instead of him to go out there to struggle in order to put food in his family table,, he prefers going out with his friends and return home so drunk. Presently,, the wife is so frustrated and depressed, that she is already thinking of leaving the marriage...

What I learnt

I have learnt that as a woman,, ensure you are established before you get married, if you are not educated, ensure you have a skill or you are into business.

What I am trying to say in essence is, ensure you have a source of income before you go into marriage. In order not to be a liability but rather an asset, so you can be able to assist your husband with the family responsibilities financially and to be in the safer side when issues start arising in your marriage.

The men gets tired atimes,, and they will usually need their wives to support them. The men also need physical, financial, psychological and emotional support too.
