Many festivals are celebrated in our country India and this is a country where people of all religions Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, Christian live together and celebrate different festivals in their own way. People of all religions also participate in these festivals. Different gods are worshipped in Hindu religion like Ganesh Ji, Shiv Ji, Durga Ji, Hanuman Ji, Sai Baba, Shani Dev, Khatu Shyam Ji etc.

Everyone knows that this universe has been created by God only. I was also interested in worship because I had seen my mother worshipping. From 1975 to 1984, not many people used to go to temples. Only widows or elderly women or men were usually seen in the temple.

In our place, once a year the month of Kartik comes. Which happens from October to November. It starts getting cold in November. In this month of Kartik, Tulsi is worshipped by bathing in the shade of stars in the morning. Since we were small, we had seen mummy etc. bathing in the morning. We also used to bathe with great interest, but with the onset of winter, the air used to get polluted because we had to bathe with cold water for the whole month, that too at 5:00 in the morning.

Now we will talk about September. This month is related to Lord Shri Ganesh Ji. For 11 days in a month, we bring his idol home and serve him. Although we are neither able to see God in person nor serve him, so we worship his idol by considering it as a living form. He arrives on the first Chaturthi of September.

I also made preparations before his arrival. I made his clothes and also made his background in which lotus flowers were prepared with cutting of full sparkle sheet, which you will see behind Ganesh Ji. On the day of Chaturthi we bring the Lord with his face covered, then after performing his aarti at the door, he is installed and his face is seen, such is the tradition, after that push garland, turban and Aditya are prepared.

The main attraction of these days is evening aarti and sleeping near the Lord at night. In evening aarti, cheers are given along with various dishes and it is a lot of fun, then after 7 days or 9 days or 11 days, he is immersed in the river. By the way, this festival is celebrated with most pomp in Maharashtra because it is a South Indian festival.

In the city of Mumbai, his huge idol is installed at a place called Lalbaug and this festival is celebrated with great pomp. Lakhs of people participate in the puja and there Ganesh ji is known by the name "Badshah of Lalbaug". I am very happy to tell you about Lord Ganesha.

The story of his birth is also very strange. Lord Shiva's wife is Mata Parvati. Once it came to her mind that Shiv Ji continuously remains in penance or Brahmin, then how can I tell my time. Then she made a child's idol from the paste applied on her body and gave it life. Then it was transformed into a boy. Mata Parvati was very happy and said you are my son. Then the child said, salute mother, what has come for me? Then Maa Parvati said you
Keep it at the door today, I am going to take a bath, do not let anyone come inside.

The boy sat on the door, then Shivji came and started insisting to go inside. The boy did not let him go inside. Both of them argued for a long time, but the boy did not agree. Then Shivji got angry and cut off his head.

Then Parvati came and seeing the boy's head cut off, she became very angry. She wanted her son back because Shivji talks on Mount Kailash. So when the boy's head was cut off, it fell somewhere in the mountains. Even after searching a lot, he could not be found. The whole world started crying in anger of Parvati. Then Shivji asked other gods and goddesses in the river to bring a child named Kashish. Then the boy brought the head of a baby elephant. After that Shivji attached the head of an elephant to the child and revived him. Parvati became happy. The boy was named Ganesh and Shivji said that now whenever there will be any worship, Ganesh will be worshipped first, then other gods and goddesses.

Every year we celebrate their presence at our home where we do celebration daily for 11 days and at the end to a place brijghat for their visarjan
