Tell Your Story #35: Restoring Hope And Rendering Help

Hello my ladies, trust you good? I am the happiest person today and in that spirit, I'll bring to you and interesting story, one that you won't forget in a jiggy. But before then, I have a question, did it rain in your location today? It did in my area and that's one of the things that brought my excitement because it's not as hot as it used to be anymore. I slept peacefully last night and it's the first time in over thirty days I've had such calm and peaceful night rest.

There's this friend of mine that has always been there for me through the thick and thin. We've known ourselves for more than nine years and though we do have slight misunderstanding, we never leave each other's side. She got hitched in 2023 but has not been able to conceive and bear a child. I've always included her in my prayers and asked that God blesses her with children.

The journey hasn't been easy with her, as an African, you should understand what I mean. All blames has been on her but in all she never loosed hope and I've also been encouraging her to keep holding unto God that soon she'll testify of the Lord's doing, also reminded her that her marriage came as a miracle and so will her babies. So sometime ago last year, she told me that she has taken in and out of excitement I screamed so hard, danced and sang praises to God and we even stepped out to celebrate. I could feel the excitement and satisfaction she felt at the moment.

Furthermore, she went for scan and it was confirmed that she's expecting twin babies. That's to fulfill the scripture that says "For your shame, I'll give you double". See jubilation everywhere, even her husband and inlaws were so happy with her. To cut the story short, last week Saturday she gave birth to two handsome boys and I had no knowledge about it. Just today, she called and asked that I come to the hospital around her house and without hesitation, I went there and behold, my God sons were lying besides her.

My joy was full but guess what state I found my friend? She was weak and in pains because she gave birth through C-section and wasn't strong enough to move around and needed help. I helped her do some stuffs and asked her why she resorted to Cesarean Section, she said and I quote "when my water broken I rushed down to the hospital and told the nurses that it was time but they only laughed and asked that I wait for the doctor since he wasn't on seat and when the doctor arrived I was weak and could only pushed one baby". Ah! God, I felt like sueing those during nurses but poor me, what can I do?

I called my roommate and asked her to help me fix a hot and spicy pepper soup and rice for my friend, I sent her the money needed for it and she delivered. Before my own arrived, my friend's mother-in-law brought her food but girl wanted mine because she overhead when I called my roommate and knows I can go extra.
