"First Day of my School 🏫"

Hello steem ladies

How was your day? Mine was great. School is what all of us once attended in other to acquire formal knowledge in life. I thank God I was opportuned to get a basic education for myself through my parents. There are children in the streets looking for ways they can go to school. Some are idle while few hawk in the street. I thank my dear friend @aviral123 for organizing this contest.

Can you recall your first day of school? What was the most memorable moment?

Surprisingly I can recall my first day in school, though my mum told me few things about that day many years ago and I also recalled view things that happened that day. Am sure all of you know that children like crying in their first day in school, most especially that moment when their mother is about to leave after dropping them in school in the morning.

We have grown up

I was different and made everyone surprised. I didn't cry in my first day of school and my mother told her sisters and mother that the reason I didn't cry was because I was admitted in the same school my elder brother attends and he's with me in the school, thereby making me safe even though he was small.

How did you feel on your very first day of school? Excited, nervous, or a mix of emotions?

I was excited anyway, when my elder brother started school I was always wishing I will go to school with him, I was always admiring his school uniform and bag. I will become very restless until he's back from school. I finally went to school and I was excited that I will be with my brother in school.

Big girls

I was very excited to the extent I didn't even touch my lunch during break period. My teacher even walked up to me and asked if I was ok. I said I was fine that I will eat later. When school was over, I saw people's parents taking their children hope and I was even about to leave the classroom alone when my teacher stopped me and said someone will take me home.

My elder brother who was very small and just one year older than me, took me home. Our house is very close to school that's why my brother and I go home together.

Did you make any new friends on your first day? If so, how did you initiate the friendship?

I made only one friend which was my seatmate, it was also her first day in school and she really cried slot that day, infact all the pupils that came to school for the first time were all crying except me and some parents were thinking I have resumed since.

The little girl was crying since I entered the classroom, catarrh was dropping from her nose and I helped her clean the with her handkerchief and I began to console her till she slept. As soon as she woke up she began to smile and also wave hands at me when her mother was taking her home as I was waiting for my brother.

How did your parents or guardians help prepare you for your first day of school?

My mother bought all my books and also a beautiful Cinderella bag for me, I was so excited when I saw my new writing materials and beautiful school uniform. My parents and aunties really surprised me that day because they know I have always want to go to school.

If you could go back and change one thing about your first day of school, what would it be and why?

If I have the opportunity to go back to school and change one thing that occured that day, it will be going home alone. I wasn't happy when my teacher asked me to go back and wait for someone to take me home, some of my classmates were even laughing when my teacher chased me back to my seat, then my seatmate has already gone with her mother.

Is not that I don't like it as my brother always take me home, but I wanted to break record of going home alone in my first day of school so that my aunties and parents as well as my grandmother will say am smart and brave.
