This is my participation in the Contest Choices! What will it be? #78 The honoree @patjewell, organized In STEEM for Ladies.

My topic is “Shampoo”

I think there is no house in the world today where shampoo is not used, it is found in every house. Especially in the houses of modern girls, many varieties of shampoo are found.

Now whenever we go shopping in a big store, we get to see many brands of shampoo of Indian and foreign companies. Then it becomes difficult to choose which one to buy and which one not to buy.

Shampoo is a hair care product used to clean the scalp and hair. It helps remove dirt, oil, sweat, dead skin cells and pollutants from the hair.

Sulfates are the main cleansing agents in shampoos. These are great cleansers but If we use more of these shampoo they can also strip out natural oils from the hair.

Mixed with moisturizers and conditioners such as glycerin, panthenol and natural oils help keep hair moisturized and soft.

Preservatives are used in most of the shampoos to prevent the growth of scalp bacteria and lice.

Fragrances and colors are added for scent and appearance, but sometimes they can cause irritation to sensitive scalp skin.

Ordinary shampoo removes excess oil from the hair, but can dry out our hair if used too often.

Moisturizing shampoos should be used to nourish dry hair.

Volumizing shampoos lift flat or thin hair.

Sulfate-free shampoos are good for our artificially coloured hair, as they are less harsh and helps retain moisture, and colour loss .

Anti-dandruff shampoos are good to use for treating dandruff.

We should choose the right shampoo according to our hair type dry, oily, normal, curly, for example, people with curly hair may choose sulfate-free or moisturizing shampoos.

Many domestic and foreign cosmetic manufacturing companies in the market make various claims to sell their products. But I think all the these claims do not stand true.

For the example of shampoos , in our country, there are domestic and foreign brands like dove, biolege, loreal, martix opti, schwarzkopf, himalaya, mamaearth, tresemme, head and shoulders, clinic, dabur, sunsilk, de-feblous, moroccanoil, metriz, clear, iyer, etc.

But people in our world prefer the products of the cosmetic manufacturers which are promoted more in the media.

***After these words of wisdom for shampoos , listen to an interesting story of shampoo related my own ***

My father, who was a very simple and rule-abiding person, and he did not allow anyone in our house to use any cosmetics.

So, we had no cosmetics other than hair oil in our house.And this story of mine when I was only 15 years old.

My aunt lived in another place in the city. She had invited me and my elder sister who is 2 year big to me to stay at her house in our holidays . And first day When I entered the bathroom of her house, I saw that there were a lot of cosmetics kept there in bathroom .

But since we had never used anything other than oil, I searched only for perfumed oil. And I found a fragrant oil in a beautiful bottle and I applied it on my wet hair after bathing. As soon as I applied it, huge quantity foam started coming out of my head.

I was very scared and also feeling ashamed. So I covered my head with a towel and went to my elder sister and told her about this. And she told our aunt and then everyone present there started laughing loudly.

Then they told me that this is a special liquid soap for washing hair. Go and wash your hair again. Then I bathed again and I saw that my hair had become very silky.

And this is how I got to know about a thing called shampoo for the first time by making people laughed on me . Even after so many years, when I use shampoo, I remember that incident.
