I strongly believe that we cannot have productive days if we do not stay organised.
So, early this morning, when the clock struck 4:15 AM, I pulled out a small note from the locker next to my bed, grabbed a pen, then jotted down every teeny-weeny thing I planned to do within the day. My mentor once told me that having a visual representation of my planned activities would help me take control of my time, reduce body stress, and achieve most of my goals. But does this work? Let's find out.
With my plans well sketched out, I moved to completing the first thing on my list — studying. You would agree that it is easier to focus when the body is fully rested. So I pulled out a book from the bookshelf and spent the next 76 minutes consuming its content. By the time I was done, I had enough points to develop the paper I was working on.
My energy level had reduced to about 50% at this point. I could hear the worms in my intestines crying for a nutritious breakfast. I would have loved to feed my body first, but I decided to check my Steemit community feed, and have a cold shower instead.
Then sleep came. Just a few minutes after I turned on the radio to listen to a Reverend's sermon. Did I feel super guilty? Absolutely!
We can control how we react to things that happen around us but no one can completely control what happens to them.
So, imagine searching for an essential condiment for your rice and finding it in the freezer!
For a moment, I paused to replay how the tomatoes got there. I was surprised to see it nestled comfortable between the vegetables and fruits.
I had to fix lunch. So, I grabbed some money and headed to the mall to get some sachet tomatoes along with two other items.
You cannot take a stroll around Uyo without seeing the beautiful things of life. If you do not find beautiful landscapes around, you'd find hardworking trader displaying their wares by the roadsides.
While returning, my eyes caught a glimpse of my customer who sells exotic fruits. I decided to stop by her place. That's when I found some lovely red apples. I didn't know it was the season for apples until then.
I bought four pieces for less than 2 STEEMs.
I would have loved to spend my evening listening to K.D. Lang's Hallelujah, but my neighbour's daughter thought it the perfect time to request for my assistance.
She had an assignment on how to write narrative and argumentative compositions.
I snuggled out of bed sluggishly.
But my effort was well rewarded with this perfect view when returning home. I had to munch on these crunchy red apples while writing this diary.
I am proud of how my day flowed from when I woke up until I got ready for bed. There were some things which didn't go as planned. However, it was worth it.
