"Photo of the Week Contest 01 | Sharing my best Photo of the Week"

Here I am participating in the contest organized by our dear friend @m-fdo - "Photo of the Week Contest 01 | Sharing my best Photo of the Week".

I take many pictures and this contest feels just right for me. Today, I will share the best photo that I took this week. On Tuesday, we experienced a 5-hour power cut. It was a stressful day unable to carry out our daily routine. I was very bored at home with the baby when my husband returned home early. As it was very warm and we had nothing else to do, we decided to go for a swim. One of our best friends joined us, making our time more enjoyable.

That day, we decided to visit a different place that's very near to my home. It was just a 5-minute drive, and I was bewildered by the amazing beauty of nature. It was the place where the two beautiful rivers Belihuloya and Hirikatuoya converged and flowed into the Samanala Wewa reservoir.

We spent our time enjoying snacks and dipping in the water. And our little one enjoyed his time in the river very much. I believe that we spent our time in the best way possible.

Being close to nature always relaxes my mind and helps me to re-energize. I think we all need time away from all the city chaos. The decision to shift to a rural area does not make me regret a bit. I am grateful to have this time enjoying the beautiful nature around me.

I tried my best to capture the beauty of the environment through the lens of my iPhone. I hope I did justice to its incredible beauty. Sudden plans are always the best and it was a great idea to visit this new place. I was able to witness a different view of the same river that we often visit.
