Hello Everyone!
I hope you are doing well...

It was the 25th of May.

On our way home in Galle.

My alarm rang at 4:30 a.m. I was already awake by then. It was really hot before it started raining in Colombo, and I wasn't able to sleep at all. Somehow, I managed to carry out the tasks planned for the day.

After preparing breakfast for my little one, I started getting ready for another long journey. Today, we are heading to Galle to visit my in-laws for a special event. They had organized a "Dane" for Buddhist monks in their area. It is a ritual to invite Buddhist monks and offer food in remembrance of someone's death anniversary or before any happy event in the family.

I fed my baby his breakfast on the way, as he always tries to avoid having his meals when people are around. We attended the Dana ceremony on time.

It's been a long journey for me as I'm traveling from Belihuloya to Colombo and then to Galle, even though I was in Colombo the day before. These long journeys make me tired as hell. But I also enjoy the time I spend traveling different areas. I like visiting my husband's hometown as I always, loved the village and stunning views of the greenery surroundings.

I love it when it is all green, such an eye-pleasing view.

All of us gathered happily for the Dana Ceremony. It was a great opportunity to meet all of the relations in my husband's family and spend some quality time with them. Everything was well organized, and there wasn't any work left for us to do. I enjoyed my time on our short visit to Galle. The Dana ceremony ended successfully, and they were very generous to offer food for everyone in the best way possible.

I had a wonderful time with our friends in Galle. When everyone split after the ceremony. My husband and I spent some time with the family and decided to leave before it was too late. We drove carefully as it started raining when we entered the southern expressway. It was around 8:30 p.m. when we reached back home. I was dead tired, I didn't even feel hungry. I only wanted to sleep, as I missed having a good night's rest. Just because my mother insisted, I had a light dinner and went to bed with little Vihan.

It was a tiring day for me but I'm grateful for the opportunity to attend a religious ceremony after a long time and for the time I spent with our friends and families.

I hope you enjoyed going through my day... Stay happy and blessed always!

Thank you for participating…..
This journey must have taken hours to complete. I can imagine how lovely and freshy the road would be with the lovely nature. It seems the women do not serve the monks and there was enough to eat and drink. That must have been a big occasion. I hope your ride was save back.. All the best!

Hi dear @ninapenda,

Thank you so much for taking the time to review my post. No, women can offer Dana to monks, but sadly, none of us were captured in the picture.
