How sincere I am on Steemit?
From the day I started, I was introduced to the internet, and joined social media I am who I am. If people ask me for my name I tell them although I do not share my private life with everyone, keep my privat address and my children's names unmentioned. It's not different from how I act in real life. I respect my children's privacy plus it's not allowed by law to use photos of family, friends, without their permission.
To me social media is not the place to share every detail of my life. I find it strange people do this.
Back then (1992), as I started meeting people on the internet, I don't think there were many fake profiles. I remember having great chats at chat boxes and although those people had an avatar of their choice and a different name, no one cared, no one was aggressive, scamming was no issue and we had mainly fun. We played games, shared what we liked to share, did meet or became old fashioned pen pals.
If it comes to pretending I find it hard to play a character I am not. It must be exhausting to lie and keep remembering which lie you told to whom. I always wonder why people do that, especially if it comes to dating sites. The internet is the best opportunity there is to meet people while being your own nasty self. You can even show your list with demands and it's take it or leave it. In real life it's way harder to find and permanently delete someone.
I did meet scammers, plenty of them, and was scammed twice. My accounts on Steemit have been hacked more than once.
I do not easily trust people but try to be nice even if I know they lie or make up something. At times, if I notice I am dealing with a scammer, I do make certain remarks but the average scammer is not too smart, doesn't notice I look through him, which is kind of disappointing. Scammers truly believe all (single) women are the same and fall for the same lies and each mum is willing to sacrifice herself for a total stranger. Well, that's not me. I have learned the very hard way that most people cannot be trusted. Manipulators do not care if they steal your last Steem or cent.
If it comes to writing I wonder if gender or the name is important. There are plenty of books published by authors using a writer's name. Does this make what is written worse?
Steemit never cared about names just like Facebook and many other platforms. A fake profile is as easily made as a real one, especially by someone who knows what he is doing.
If such a profile is a problem depends on what it is used for. A "fake" profile on a platform for writers can't be compared with one made on a dating site.
Photo's & Steemit
I always liked taking photos from the moment on I had my own photo camera which was at the age of six or seven years old. It was all black and white, colour wasn't the norm. I had a collection of photocamera's but they are all gone. Today I only have my phone and taking photos takes time. My phone is slow. I do not like to take photos in particular for Steemit. At times I do but I prefer to focus on text. I am a writer, no longer a photographer. I try to use only my photos since I started on Steemit again. I have at least 1000 so it must be possible to use one of them. I do not save them forever, after a while I throw them away.
Reading others because...
I am not nosy, not a scammer, I can't stand gossip and I am not bored to death so no, I don't read other people just to dig into their lives. I never did and never will. I will also never ask about a person's private life. It's up to the one I am "talking" to what he/she wants to share. So far I don't think I met someone who made up the story of his/her life and if that were the case they didn't harm me and I doubt they will harm anyone else.
I read posts because I think the topic can be interesting, the writer is a good storyteller or because someone considered the content a good read. If I agree I'll read this Steemian more often.
Only if it comes to people I know for longer and miss them around for a certain period I might visit their account to check if they are okay (not ill, take a break, or...).
A waste of time?
To me, Steemit is not a waste of time. It's a place where I can always find something to read.
I like reading and writing so I'm good. To me it's nice to see the world through the eyes of different people, people all over the world. If their stories are made up it's fine with me, there's nothing wrong with fiction and fantasy. I love to read tales, and what I read keeps my brain at work. All those stories give me plenty to think about.
If it comes to a waste of time... to me it's watching television, which is the reason why I don't.
Just like with the first question, I'm not sure what is asked with the last question: ¿Cree que se merece que Steemit le tenga confianza a su contenido?
I translated this into English, Dutch, German, Esperanto and French. I assume the question asked is:
Is content on Steemit reliable?
I read a lot of nonsense from the very first day I joined Steemit. Just like at any other platform some people share information, and write articles, about topics which I would call old, even very old (scientific) "news". But hey, this is typically for the world wide web and by now we all know there's a lot of nonsense and fake news spread (never make your homework with answers you find on the first site that shows if you "goggle" for an answer).
Steemit is no exception if it comes to untrustworthy information. I wouldn't use this platform to search for an answer to a burning question but let's be honest it's not an encyclopedia or the blockchain's Wikipedia.
Perhaps a plus is the content being posted on Steemit can hardly be found by using a search engine. I can't even find what I just wrote let alone published a few years ago. I assume what counts for me counts for everyone.
@pandorra2010 is the host of this contest.
I invite @gertu, @blessedlife, @vudeme123, @ogechukwu-martha and hope they have time.

My dear scammers are everywhere some need to be very careful.
As for steemit, it's the best place to be. as for what people write I don't really know if is true or not it s all left them. Wishing you success in this contest.

You are right scammers are everywhere it's just that the word scammer is relatively new plus it's a word associated with the internet.
We find them in religions, car salesmen, room rentals, banks, loansharks and so on.
If it comes to the truth: what is the truth? People look through different glasses witnessing the same event.
How we interpret a story told can twist the truth as well.

Hi!
I think it's up to everyone to share what they want to share, but some activities are made so you share much information. If if was for me, I would be anonymous, but for some reason at some point this social network started to demand us show who we are.
The last question, as I understand it, asks if your content is worthy of trust.
I'm willing to participate since the very first day this contest was published. I'll find the time to do so before the time is over 🤭. Thanks for the invitation.
Blessings

While I read your answer I start thinking it feels as if this is a database they, whomever that will be, they are working at.
To be honest it makes me reconsider if I want to invest so much time in answering questions.
I want to write, write stories, keep the brain active, not forget to invest in what I like most.
I already started writing a diary on this platform before the diary game was invented. Today it feels as if it's diaries, questions being answered only. To me this is not too much creativity. Might be good to force a part of the Steemians to type longer texts but it only looks good from the outside. What's the point if the same two sentences are repeated at least four times?
I am a storyteller so is my content trustworthy?
I hope you find the time to join. If feel free to tag me.

You are up to write freely, also many communities have schedule for posting on Literature, stories, and sometimes participate in the dairies (your own style the better) or contests that you like.
There's no need to write too much, keep it medium size and nice 😉
There are many things we may not understand, but I still think we can develop according to our way of thinking, following basic rules.

I did not find a community for tales, stories, creative writing only. I think I am in the wrong communities? I see diaries everywhere and most writers use the same layout. It does not look special to me, but can be this is due to my phone. 🤔
Today I need time to think, clean up and while doing so I might write a story in my head.
Thanks for the blessings, blessed be, it became colder outside.

Many people writes diaries because is a very valued activity, it seems easy to share your day and anybody can do it.
In many communities there is a day for creative writing and you have the chance to get support of booming votes. Others, have permanent contests estimulating free writing based on an image. I think that is very close to what you need.

Can be it's easy to share your day but I wonder if it makes this platform attractive.
Do you like to read diaries?
Of many communities have the diary game and one creative contest it means it will be hard to find what you are looking for.
I remember @marblely posted in a community just for needlework. If communities stick to a certain topic it's easier to find certain topics and information back.
Thanks for explaining I'll find my way somehow.

I think sticking to one topic is a limitation for communities to grow and maintain activity. How many users can make a daily or a weekly post regarding needlework? How many of them will get support from curators? When there are no attractive rewards, people loses motivation.
I invite you to try writing in this contest, hope you find a nice place for you there.
Regarding diaries, I have many thoughts about. Here we placed an invitation to make them a little different, the idea was to write different, maybe in a more creative way, less routine, but users are free to write their own way.
I thank you for all your support. I found the community you have many posts, but I need more time to read.
Keep in touch. Blessings

The question is: how many active Steemians are there? Needle work is a wide range...knitting, crocheting, broderie and so on. Back than I did no longer do it (allergies) but today I am and the videos I watch are inspiring.
I assume you are right and it's about the support, upvotes, the money. It's why people join.
If you ask me nothing is as hard as writing a diary, one people really like to read. Still, see my first diary and after a few days I gave up. All I dared to write was what I had for dinner. 🤣
Boring.
I will have a look at your links.
Thanks for making me wiser dear friend. An enjoyable Friday.
❤️🍀
P.s. I need to make notes about all those things I have to check out, remember and should do. My days are too short. 😉

You are busy just like me. Take it easy, we do not need to join everything. I also do not want the ccc feeling back - lifting more weight than I can carry.

I am not sure if it's helpful to start with CCC again. I need to figure out the new Steemit first.
You were good at writing stories too.
Take it easy, there's no hurry.
