A land fire occurred in Tumbo Baro Village, Kuta Malaka District, Aceh Besar Regency, Aceh, on Saturday (22/6/2024). The location of the fire was on empty land adjacent to residential areas.
"A land fire occurred on Saturday, June 22 2024 at 14.22 WIB in Kuta Malaka District, Tumbo Baro Village," said Haslinda Juwita, Pusdalops Aceh Disaster Management Agency (BPBA).
According to a report from Pusdalops BPBD Aceh Besar, it is currently suspected that this land fire was caused by burning rubbish which was carried out without supervision. Officers recorded that the fire area reached 3000 square meters.
In an effort to deal with this fire disaster, BPBD Aceh Besar deployed a fleet of fire extinguishers to the location of the incident. Officers then succeeded in extinguishing the fire.
The Aceh Besar BPBD Damkar Sibreh Main Post immediately moved to the location of the fire by deploying 2 units of firefighting fleet to the location of the incident and supported by 12 firefighting personnel. "The fire was successfully extinguished at 15.00 WIB," he said.
