Health is one of the most important part of life and keeping our health in-check is very much necessary. The entire well-being is linked to good health; social life, daily productivity, emotional stability and self confidence.

I will use the contest tips given by the contest organizer (@suboohi) to present my entry;

Understanding the Word "Anemia"

Anemia is when there is reduction of iron that contains protein in the red blood cells which is responsible for moving oxygen from the lungs to other part of the body. This iron can be called; Hemoglobin and when there is lack of this substance, the organs will receive less oxygen which might likely lead to health issues.

At what point can a person notice that he/she is suffering from Anemia?

Health issues can be so complicated but there are specific early symptoms to every problem. For anemia, you can experience; headache, chest pain, yellowish skin, dizziness, weakness, cold hands and feet and unnecessary heatbeats.

Let's find out what might be the cause of this health challenge;

Causes of Anemia

The following are causes of anemia;

  1. It can be inherited from parents example; sickle cell anemia
  2. When there is loss of excessive blood through; surgery, accident or childbirth
  3. Chronic diseases
  4. Bone marrow issues
  5. When there is nutritional deficiencies

How to Prevent Anemia from Occuring
  1. Exercise regularly
  2. Visit the doctor for medical check up
  3. Learn to balance your diet
  4. Take more of supplements and natural fruits
  5. Avoid things that might likely lead to blood loss

It is interesting that although sometimes anemia cannot be cured by itself, we can regulate and control it mainly with a regular visit to the doctor and by eating foods that are rich in iron so that the production of red blood cells is higher.
