What do you think about vaccines?

Vaccine as the name imply serve as the protection or defenses against bacteria or virus from damaging our body system.

Vaccines contains active Antigen substances that killed some bacteria from recurring again or it may weakened them from not causing any harm or damages to the cell.

Vaccines is very important in our life especially to a little children who just come to the world, given them vaccines would boost their immune system by not allows any uninvited visitors to destroy the cell. Many children are given more than one dose of vaccines in order to achieve needed immunity such vaccines include measles 1 and 2, chickenpox and polio vaccines etc.

Have you been vaccinated lately or only when you were born?

My mother told me that I was vaccinated at the first stage of my birth and I keep on given different vaccines by the nurses based on the appointment or date written on the immunization card. I stopped given vaccine till I reached the age of 2years, ever since I have been active and I don't usually fell sick during my childhood because it recognise new infection from damage our cell.

When I reached the age of 28years I was also given tetanus injection vaccine at the nearby market place, the nurses brought the vaccines because large numbers of people could be easily find in the market both males and females received the vaccines until it finished. They promised to given us second dose next two weeks but unfortunately I could not meet up, When I am fully ready I would go to nearby primary health center to received the second dose.

What would happen today if a child was born and was not vaccinated?

Many children would suffer if they are not receiving vaccines on time because such child may likely to be seriously sick or at risk of loosing their own life.

In Northern part of Nigeria, some children were paralysed while others suffered from measles and polio because their parents refuse to complete their vaccines and some parents often delay the vaccines due to cost of transportation to reach the place where the hospital was located. In addition, vaccine is a preventable diseases and if adequate care is not taken by the parents it could lead to disability when the child is about to grow up.

Also, children would not have access to travel out of the country particularly for children who want to complete their study abroad. some countries expected foreigners to complete their vaccines, so without been fully immunized they will find it difficult to continue their education in the countries.

Conclusion

Parents and health care provider must make sure children are completely immunized in order to reduce children mortality rates around the world. I would like to invite @malikusman1, @piya3, @bonaventure24 and @steemdoctor1 to share more knowledge in this amazing contest.

Best Regards

Mortality rates in adults and children can reduced by enhancing vaccines to the general public. In places where health facilities are scarce, the public should take full advantage of the mobile health workers. Awesome post 👍
