Why do we eat food?

I greet you all my dear steemians, trust you all are doing good. I thank @sahmie for organizing this amazing contest, because with this we'll all share our local foods and it's benefits. You'll get to know my local food, and I'll also get to know yours, it's going be fun.

In this modern world, a lot people find it very difficult to feed themselves and their family. Most families struggle to eat atleast once a day. With the hardship, some families do beg for foods in order to survive. Begging for food means it's very important for human existence.

The word "food" can simply be defined as any substances living things or organisms take into their body system in order to sustain their live. Food can be extracted from plants and animals. Such as cassava plants, which in return give us fufu after processing.

This is one of my best meal we have in our locality, and it's also my favourite meal. If you check around akwa ibom state, you'll notice that out of 100 percent 80 percent will go for this meal. Just take a good look at the soup and fufu. Eating Afang soup and fufu is a very strong and sustainable meal. It can take you for so many hours before you'll feel like eating again. It's so delicious and nutritious.

(Plantain porridge)

I love plantain so much too. My mother do make it porridge most of the time. Plantain porridge is one of the popular and best food in my locality. What's the benefits? Plantain is a very nutritional meal, because it has fiber that can help support our heart health, as well as blood regulations.

Food is so important to living creatures because without food, we won't be able to survive. Food is also important because it will avoid unnecessary sickness, like ulcer and the likes of them.

To sustain live
Like i said earlier, most people do beg for food if they have none, why? So that they'll survive. Food has an important or crucial role to play in human existence.

Growth
Food helps living creatures to grow rapidly and strong. Even animals staying without food won't have a good growth, talkless of human being. When you see children growing slowly and unhealthy, what comes to your mind? It's because of lack of food. So food really helps in proper growth.

Energy
Energy is the ability to do work. Without food, no energy, without energy no work, without work you're poor. This simply means that food is very important, because it's gives us the energy to perform our daily task.

Humans eat to live, with reasons.

Is there any live without food? Or i should ask, is there anyone that's surviving in planet earth without food? No, there's no living creature like that. So humans actually need to eat in order to survive. What if you choose to live in order to eat, then you don't see the food, it means death. So, humans eat to live.
