Today, I'm taking part in the contest, "Importance of Adequate Sleep" conducted by @Suboohi. We all sleep every day but often leave it by the wayside in the busy day to day. In the hustle-bustle of the present-day world, a lot of humans tend to forego sleep believing it to be an insignificant factor and move on with their lives. Sleep sufficient plays an important role in physical, mental and emotional well-being, and it is not just sleep. From enhancing mental capabilities to increasing immunity and even emotional balance, sleep forms the bedrock of healthy living.
The adequate amount of sleep required for each person varies based on their age, overall health and lifestyle. Medical science maintains that at least six to eight hours hours of sleep should be followed every day and that the sleep timings should also be constant. Before bedtime, avoid all the activities that can disturb sleep (the so-called sleep hygiene), e.g. reading e-books on a cell phone or tablet, switching on the lights, getting overly active or eliminating at the latest hour. Syncing a fixed sleep length and sticking to a regular sleep-wake cycle significantly helps in keeping the body safe and sound. Maintaining your sleep maintains your physical and mental well being functioning at their best.
The consequences of not sleeping enough are deep and varied. Sleep Deprivation Harms Mood digestion, making people feel more dizziness, upset, and unproductive all day. Long-term sleep deprivation can lead to serious health problems, including insomnia, stress, depression, high blood pressure, and stroke. It can also take a toll on eyes as I faced with Bacterial infection in eye due to late night usage of screen and late night work as I have to work on steemit always at night after completing all the home duties. My doctor told me that sleep is very important so that I sleep properly. It becomes essential to get a proper sleep to prevent these health related issues.
While lack of sleeping is harmful for our health, sleeping too much can also give rise to a number of health problems. Sleeping too much more than 6-8 hours on a regular basis has adverse effects on physical as well as mental health.
Oversleeping is commonly associated with lethargy and fatigue, resulting in lower chances of remaining active and productive. It can also up the odds of obesity, heart disease, diabetes and high blood pressure by disrupting the natural balance of the body. Excessive sleep: too much sleep also gets in the way of headaches, lousy state of mind like depression, and weakened memory, which has an impact on mental clarity and emotional stability. To prevent these health complications, it is crucial to keep a balance in sleep cycles for well-being.
To sum it all up, with enough sleep we can lead a healthy and good quality of life. It helps prop up cognitive function, emotional stability and physical health. Getting enough rest is the basic foundation of healthy lifestyle.
