The human body system is susceptible to various kinds of diseases. The diseases could be so contagious that one could get infected by an ordinary handshake. But still, there are many other ways through which diseases are contacted.
Being in an environment where everyone is prone to contagious diseases, requires that one should adopt a some health protective measures, to prevent or minimize spread diseases.
Communicable diseases are body ill health conditions resulting from the bacteria and viruses that are transmitted from one person to another either by air, blood, bites or through fluids. These are the ways through which diseases are spread among people.

Diseases could be fast to spread but the signs and and symptoms could manifest slowly. It is important to practice good hygiene in order to prevent the spread. Below are some the hygienic practices to adopt:
Putting on personal protective materials such as nose masks, hand gloves,or coveralls when there is an outbreak of disease
There should be equipments like water facilities, sanitizers, soaps etc, for cleansing.
- Health authorities should continuously create awareness on safety measures to take when an emergency health situation arises
- Washing or cleaning of constantly used items
It is important for individuals to seek medical help if they suspect they have a communicable diseases because prevention would always be better than cure. If there is a suspect of any communicable disease, the patient should as a matter of urgency, report to any nearby health center for immediate check up. This would help to prevent further spread of the disease.
The outbreak of a number of communicable diseases have really had severe negative economic impact on communities. They include:
Corona virus
Monkey pox
Cholera
Hiv/Aids etc.
These diseases have led to loss of lives and jobs in communities.
Communicable diseases requires that we take preventive measures like vaccination to reduce the risks of getting contacted with the disease. Getting vaccinated helps in boosting body system immunity to fight against or protect our body system from the disease.
On the same hand, quarantine services help to dissociate individuals who may be suspected of contacting disease from the public. This helps to prevent rapid circulation or spread of the disease.
