Introduction

I have been given another opportunity to educate myself and the steem health community. Today's contest is on bone health. The human body is fascinating and so must be held by a very sturdy and hard support system which gives us both flexibility and protection. Without further ado i will be answering the questions that will guide the presentation.

what do you understand by means of bone health

There are 206 bones in an adult human body and 300 bones in a new born, these bones have a general use of mechanical protection of the body against physical harm as well as immune protection against diseases.
In the case of mechanical protection, the bones are built to be hard and compact and mostly made up of organic and inorganic compounds.

The inorganic compounds are calcium which is an essential component, phosphorus, hydroxyapatite which is 70% of the inorganic compounds. The organic compounds are cells such as osteoblasts, osteoclasts and osteocytes, collagen which is 90% of the organic materials and proteoglycans.

Functions of Organic and Inorganic Components Bone

In a healthy bone, all the composition of bone ate in the right composition and perform perfectly and the functions of each component of a healthy bone are;

Organic Components

Collagen a fiber which is composed of 90% of organic matter of bones and provides bones their tensile strengths and flexibilty.

Proteoglycans a molecule that provide an additional binding strength of collagen fibres.

The Cells
Osteoblasts produce new bone tissues
Osteoclasts break down old bobe tissues
Osteocytes maintain the health of existing bone tissues

Inorganic Components

Calcium For the formation and maintenance of bones and bones, maintains muscle formation, and nerve transmissions.

Phosporus Essential for the formation and maintenance of bones and also regulates other bodily functions.

Hydroxyapatite Which makes up to 70% of inorganic components of bone and can provide the bone with rigidity and hardness.

what are the key factors and tips in mentenance of bone health

Even though Bone has all the components to keep its function and maintenence, it is still supposed to be taken care of and maintained and the health is maintained in so many ways and it includes;

Exercise
Exercising daily will make the bone cells produce more bone tissues and make your bone grow stronger, muscular exercises will improve born density. Exercise builds causes muscles to wear and tear and hence make more demand for essential elements to rebuild it.

Tell us about the food which help to keeps bone health

The bone is what makes the skeletal system; the adult human possesses 206 bones, which help man in performing his daily activities; the bones can gain vitamin D from natural sunlight, the vitamin makes it easier for calcium to do its work on the body.

Protein foods like fish, egg, meat, milk, groundnuts, beans, and soya beans are extremely good sources of protein which are capable of improving the structure of the bones and also enabling them to work effectively. Well done champ.

Thank you
