To my understanding by healthy liver is one of the functions efficiently performing optimally it has key roles in detoxification, nutrient processing, and metabolism. The responsibilities of a healthy liver include.

Detoxification; This means the ability to filter toxins, waste products from the blood to prevent buildup in the body, and drugs. Metabolism, means the processing of protein data and carbohydrate storing energy in the form of glycogen.

Nutrient Storage: Storing essential minerals like folic, vitamin B12, iron, and vitamins is also the function of a healthy liver. Finally, blood clotting: which produces protein necessary for blood clotting.

In conclusion, a healthy liver maintains all the processes we have discussed without fatty deposits, scarring, and information that can impair its function.

Write some common tips to have a healthy liver.

Below are some common tips to have a healthy liver.

  • We need to limit the intake of Alcohol as excessive alcohol can damage our liver cells and lead to liver disease.

  • We need to stay hydrated all the time. To this, we must drink enough water to help our liver flush out toxins efficiently.

  • We need to be doing exercise frequently. Physical activity helps us to reduce liver fat and maintain a healthy weight, which is much more important for liver health.

  • We need to avoid toxins. Chemicals in some cleaning products pesticides, and tobacco smoke can harm our liver which we need to avoid direct contact with these substances.

  • We need to be mindful of medications. Some medications are particularly when taken in excess or in combination with alcohol which can damage our liver. To do this, we need to take medication as prescribed.

Give an example of a health problem due to liver dysfunction.

The health problem due to liver dysfunction is non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. This happens when excess fat builds up in the liver cells in mostly people who drink little or no alcohol. This condition can start from simple fat accumulation to a more severe form known as non-alcoholic steatohepatitis which involves inflammation that can as well lead to liver scarring.

If the left NAFLD can progress to cirrhosis, liver failure, or even liver cancer. NAFLD is mostly linked to obesity, insulin resistance, high blood sugar, and triglycerides which is followed by metabolic syndrome. The symptoms may be reduced in the early stage but can be advanced If not treated.
