Examples of infectious diseases are, the Ebola virus, chickenpox, diphtheria, hepatitis, coronaviruses, etc

A typical example of an infectious disease is malaria a person can be infected with malaria through the bite of a female anopheles mosquito this is because the mosquito that harbors the disease bites the person.

The common way in which Infectious Diseases spread is through the direct transfer of viruses, bacteria, or germs from one person to another,

A person can be contacted with infectious diseases through direct contact with a person who has the infection and thus could be either by touching or kissing the infected person,

A person can contact infectious disease through the air sometimes the air will carry the disease and a person can inhale it while sometimes a person can contact infectious diseases through contact with a contaminated surface.

Another common way in which infectious diseases can be spread is through droplet transmission, examples are strep throat, etc

There are several measures that individuals can take to prevent infectious diseases, some of the measures are as follows

The difference between bacterial and viral infectious is that,

Bacteria are single cells that can survive on their own, inside or outside the body

Bacteria cause bacterial infection, bacterial infections normally occur when bacteria enter the body, bacteria can also enter the body when there is a cut on the skin.

While

Viral cause infections by entering and multiplying the host's healthy cells

Viruses cause viral infection, a virus is an infection that can replicate a host organism, virus can affect both plants and animals.

How bacterial and viral impact treatment strategies is that there are many antibiotic that are used to treat bacterial infection but in the case of viral, there are no specific medicines for its treatment, the available medicine is used to sub-press the virus from effective growth.

Socioeconomic factors influence the prevalence and impact of infectious diseases in different communities through the following -

  • Cost to society, this includes the total sum of an illness or disease within a particular period.

  • Productivity losses, can occur due to poor time management, insufficient systems, and lack of direction.

Cost to the economy, our lifestyle, and the choices that are available in the community are impacted by social and economic factors, etc
