The adage suggest that regularly eating of apples contribute to good health and reduces the potential of getting such. This is not for a fact or entirely true, but it goes to promote that eating a well balanced and nutritious diets contribute to overall well-being.
Apples have great nutrients which are essential and can impact our health positively. Some of the nutrients include: vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, potassium and fiver.
So I do not think it can keep the doctor away' but it can improve our overall health.

Other Healthy Habits and Foods:

Some other healthy habits and food that can help us stay health includes maintenance of an overall health balance which can involve incorporating a wide range of fruits, vegetables, whole grains etc into our diet.
This gives our body a variety of nutrients needed for optimum performance and growth. Also regular exercise and workout, hydration and good rest are also important in having a great health.

Other benefits of eating apples regularly include:

• Lower cholesterol levels is enhanced by the soluble fibre in apples and this promotes a healthy hearts.

If I were to create my own saying about a different fruit or vegetable, it might be "A corn a day keeps your confidence at bay " Most ment with erectile problems have attested that eating corn helps them to solve their erectile issue. This is because corn enhances cardiovascular health which is linked to erectile problems. And like Apple it is also rich in fibre, minerals and vitamins and antioxidants
So next time you see some corn do well to try them out and see if it works, it is always preferable to use the dried corn. It is also a delicious snack when added with groundnut.

Note that this is just an assertion and does not have any medical backing.

Conclusion:

In summary "An apple a day keeps the doctor away" is not a medically backed assumption but it is significant in our life that if we eat healthy, exploring a wide range or varieties of fruits and vegetables. We would have our body systems at optimal performance. Don't also forget that to maintain a good health you need to exercise, to hydrate properly and also sleep well to avoid stressing your body.
