Obesity over the years has been a worrisome epidemic all over the world. One thing people fail to understand is the difference between the need for consumption of food (nutritional value) and pleasure. Obesity a chronic disease, is obviously the excessive presence of fats is dangerous to the human health. In my article today, I will discussing on the contest theme "Share Some Effective Ways to reduce weighht" organized and published by @suboohi
Obesity is health condition that occurs from the accumulation of excessive or abnormal fat on the body which poses a risk to our health. It is also the corpulence, excessive accomodations of of body fats usually caused by the consumption of high calories more than what the body can use. Over 2.5 million people die every year as a result of being obese or overweight.
Obesity was once considered as a problem in countries with high income. But now, it is a one side burden of malnutrition.
Being obese/overweight comes with a lot of other health condition. It reduces the functionality of other aspect of our health from the reproductive system, respiratory system to mental health (memory and mood). Obesity increases the risk of mortality rate and some deadly diseases including:-
• Diabetes
• Heart diseases
• Cancer
• stroke
• Sleep apnea
• Gall bladder disease
• High blood pressure (hypertension)
The best way to get rid of obesity is by lifestyle remedies. Below are some measures to be followed to prevent of perhaps treat obesity.
• Eat balance diet: Eat diet/meal which are calories controlled and recommended by a health professional (dietician)
• Regular exercise routine: Take up activities such as walking, jogging, swimming and others.
• Medications from ba certified health care center
Bariatric surgery can also be considered when the situation becomes worse, that is medication, exercise and diet couldn't solve the problem.
Ultimately, obesity can be reduced drastically when individuals and society come to realize the damaging effects it has on people. As such it is important for us to find out the factors responsible and reduce the risk of being obese, by controlled our diet, exercise and medications
