Stress is a well-known word, even kids know it and we often use the word when we feel burnout, it is an amazing system in our body which is known as an emergency response system. Our body used to release hormones that increases our heart rate, breathing and blood pressure. There's a reserve of blood cells and glucose which will flood into our bloodstream, preparing us to deal with stressor the stimulus causing stress. When the stressor passed Our body does return to normal but if it persists it leaves us tense and anxious just like a motor or machine that stays revved. A reason we should learn to manage stress.
Note stress on its own is normal, it's only when we don't know how to manage it becomes a silent killer, yeah it can either be a spice of life or the kiss of death! We are different, what stresses me might not stress you but what matters is to learn how to manage or deal with stress. Today I will share with you my ways of relieving stress.
1) I have different ways of managing stress, first is being orderly this has helped me a lot, I always arrange my things and the house well in that I can easily assess whatever I need without working up. And I carry out my chores on time not procrastinating until task pile up.

2) Making certain lifestyle changes has been the best way for me to relieve stress, I tried as possible as I can to eat healthy well-balanced diet food, Exercise, and reduce my intake of alcohol. Then having enough sleep really helps me.
3) Treating myself and others with kindness, acknowledging that I'm only human, I can make mistakes, so I don't beat myself up or be too hard on myself, and I don't use to expect too much from others.
4) Getting Support, I used to talk to close friends about how I felt, and their words of encouragement used to uplift me and help me to relieve stress, other times I used to ask for support delegate or even eliminate some tasks.
5) Taking care of my spiritual needs, prayer and meditation has been a great way for me to relieve stress, and reading of spiritually uplifting things. And being forgiving too, I don't hold grudges this makes me happy.
Below are the activities I normally do to relieve stress:
- Spending Quality Time With family and friends.
- Regular exercise, this normally lift my mood and helped me to improve the way I respond to stress.
- Eating health.
- Meditation.
- Craft making.
- Listening to Music.
- Sleeping.
As I said before stress can be a kiss of death if not well managed, it's a silent killer, and it affects both our mental and physical health. It can lead to depression, cause obesity, heart problems, headaches and high blood pressure.
