We’re going to discuss four ways cashew nuts can help to relieve symptoms of stress anxiety and depression for your brain in terms of being able to increase concentration and memory capabilities.
Now these nutrients found in cashews can also apply to other aspects of the brain such as Stress and anxiety even though they are small they contain things like omega-3 fatty acids iron magnesium vitamin b6 and many more nutrients here's how it works number one first of all.
1.Magnesium

All cashews contain the trace mineral called magnesium. Magnesium is vital to the health of your brain because it reduces a stress hormone in your body called cortisol an excess amount of cortisol can cause high levels of stress. so the magnesium found in cashews helps to calm down your nervous system by reducing these levels what's even better is that magnesium helps regulate low blood sugar levels and this can contribute to things like anxiety.
2.We have an amino acid in cashews called tryptophan tryptophan is a component that helps the body to make a hormone called serotonin aka the happy hormone serotonin helps to regulate our mood and keep us happy. It’s very important to have good levels of serotonin because low levels can increase the risk of mental illnesses like depression and anxiety. Tryptophan is found in other foods as well however cashews do carry a good amount of them.
3.Additionally another compound found in cashews is vitamin b6. Vitamin b6 is kind of like the side kick to all these nutrients for example vitamin b6 assists the tryptophan to help make serotonin. This obviously is beneficial for our overall mood another thing it helps is magnesium. vitamin b6 helps magnesium to spread to other brain cells more efficiently which reduces symptoms and risks of depression.
4.Omega 3s
Finally we have those healthy fats called omega-3 fatty acids having a good intake of omega-3s is vital for the function of the brain since over 50 percent of it is made up of fats when you have a sufficient amount of healthy fats you not only balance your mood but you also decrease your risk of depression.
Secondary in cashews is a healthy fat called monounsaturated fat which also helps to fight off depression so snacking on a handful of cashews when you are feeling stressed may be a great way to help relieve some of these symptoms please note that if you do believe you are suffering from depression anxiety or stress.
