Today I am going to present a very tasty and healthy GOTUKOLA LEAVES (pennywort) salad to the healthy food contest. I hope you will like it too.
Actually gotukola or pennywort, has been a very popular herb among Sri Lankans since ancient times and has a special taste of its own. There is a good demand for gotukola in the market and it is a herb rich in medicinal properties.
In Ayurveda, Gotu Kola is an iron-rich herb that is used for many ailments.
Talking about the pallets, after planting, the bushes will grow and the shoots will also grow. Because of this, the field spreads and grows, and the roots of the runners grow from place to place, connecting them to the ground and growing into new plants.
Now let's see how to make this delicious gotukola salad.
INGREDIENTS
- Gotukola leaves 200 g
- Red Onions
- Salt
- Grated coconut
- Lime
*Green chills
Step 01
First, wash the green leaves well and let the water escape. Then cut thinly.
Step 02
Then, if you like, add a green pepper. But I didn't add it because I'm giving it to the kids. Finely chop the onion. ( When red onion is added, it is the most delicious and good. )
Then add some coconut, salt powder and lime and stir the leaves well so that they don't get crushed.

Hello Sister,
I love to eat gotukola sambal this way. Therfore my mom prepared it at least 4 times a week. Gotukola leaves have more nutritionals and it is a healthy recipes. Good Luck with contest!
