Hello everyone, greetings to my fellow steemians colleagues and friends around the world, how are you all doing today? Hope you are fine and healthy as for me am good, by the way I'm john from Nigeria, it my pleasure and a great delight to have you in contest "Food contest week 5// Nourishing Body and Soul" Organized by @mesola here at #healthy-steem.

They are so many ways to live a healthy life which i have observed and believed that eating good food is among them and it is very necessary to our health and well being, by the I decided to take part in this lovely contest to share with you all my healthy recipes and wellness tips and as well bring out the best in me when it comes to creativity and amazing contest like this.

Your Healthy Recipes:

Every individual has a particular type of food or recipes they eats to make them feel good but the question is that, does the food contribute to your health benefits and well being?, As for me my healthy recipes or food is pounded yam and vegetable soup which I know is very good for my healthy to my body and well being, and it provides my body with potassium, regulate blood pressure, provides the body with essential nutrients such a as vitamin A, C and K and many more more nutritional value and benefits I did not mention here.

Nutrition Tips:

The following are my nutritional tips to healthy eating,
-Dont skip breakfast, always to try to eat breakfast because is very good for the body and that should be the source of your daily strength and happy mood.

  • always stay hydrated by drinking enough water mostly after eating to helps digest the food and boost your immune system.
  • Eat alot of fruits and vegetables because it very good for your health and wellness most especially the aged ones
  • always avoid and prohibite over-feeding because it's not good for your health instead reserve some to eat later or better still share with some who don't have to eat than forcing and choking yourself.
  • Avoid late night eating, it is very dangerous to your health because at times the food won't digest well and you go to bed with it like that, which is not good and healthy for your body.
  • Always remember to eat food with less sugar and salt for the benefits of your health and well being.
  • Eat a well-balanced, low-fat diet with lots of fruits, and whole grains, and as well eat food that are not spoilt, if spoilt avoid it because it will cause you illness and weakness of the body.
  • try by including protein and carbohydrates to your everyday meal to make you grow stronger and healthier.
  • Always choose food with low fibre, sodium, fat, and calories.
  • Avoid unnecessary mixture of food all in the name of food combo, because you don't know the side effects of eating such mixture of different foods, all you care about is eating it.
  • Avoid going to bed in empty stomach try to eat something even it fruits most especially the sick ones, to avoid sleepless and other side effects it gives.

Wellness Secrets:

My wellnes secrets for maintenance of physical and mental well being are....

  • having a good and healthy sleep, sleeping as you all know helps us to relax the body and mind as well as makes the body to be in a good condition, lack of sleep or insufficient sleep causes brain issues, anxiety, stroke, heart diseases e.t.c to avoid all this you have to create time to relax your body especially at night and having a good sleep at least 7 to 8 hour per day.
  • Eating good and healthy fruits or food, yes always try to put something good inside your stomach otherwise you will suffer from different kind illness and diseases for not eating healthy food.
  • Be physically and mentally active for at least 20 minutes everydays and 5 time of the week, by jogging or engaging yourself in some sports activities like me I usually plays football from Monday to Friday which I Know it is very good and healthy to my body and health.
  • Create time and space to have a good meditation sometimes, during the time of meditation you will figure out most of your problems and solutions to it.
  • always stay happy and delighted by staying close to people you love and those who loves you because this will bring you peace of mind and other heart and mind benefits.
