Health is wealth and staying healthy is our priority in life as it is only those that are healthy that have the energy to work, enjoy life, and do a whole lot of things. In this post, I have talked about the contest organized by @edgargonzalez.

🏥 What do you understand by free public health?

What I understand by free public health is that it is a free health Care center that is meant for everyone in the community to access whenever they want.

Free public health are hospitals that are owned and managed by the government in my country, Nigeria we have some public health in some towns.

Free public health, are hospitals, clinics, and medical centers that provide people with free access to health facilities.

Treatment in a free public health is cheaper than private health center, since public health is owned by the government or built by individuals to offer medical services, treatment are free sometimes and cheaper.

🏥Is health in your country a free, semi-free service or do you have to pay to acquire it?

Health in Nigeria is a free service and at the same time, one needs to pay to acquire it. Like for example, a sick person who went and treated himself/herself in a public hospital in Nigeria would have to pay a lesser or no fee (medical bills) than someone who went and treated himself herself in a private hospital. This is because private hospitals are built for business purposes.

In Nigeria, government workers enjoy semi-free health since they are registered under the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) which is an organization that takes care of the health of workers and their families.

This scheme helps and provides semi-free health services to Nigerians private individuals can also register for and become beneficiaries. However, in Nigeria, if you want to enjoy health, just have money that can pay for your medical bills in any world-class hospital.

🏥¿Public hospitals in your country have the medical services and supplies necessary to care for patients?

Yes, the public hospitals in Nigeria are well-equipped and established hospitals with a lot of doctors, and nurses in different specializations. Public hospitals in Nigeria are more well equipped and established than most private hospitals in Nigeria, but the problem with public hospitals in Nigerians is the staff's unseriousness to work.

Public hospitals in Nigeria are best known to be going on strike whenever the staff has not been paid their salaries and arrears which is the reason why most Nigerians prefer going to private hospitals for treatment to public hospitals.

They have a semi-free service but they are attended to and I imagine the prices are accessible for the poor, c Free health is why you shouldn't pay anything There are countries where health care is free but they do nothing or give medicines. Many people prefer to pay a little to be treated and have better health Greetings, thank you for participating

Saludos

I appreciate your support. Thanks
