Social media has brought great change in every field as well as in health and it especially affects the mental health so let's discuss in which mental health is affecting by the use of social media

🧘☑️ What is “social media” in your life, and how many hours a day do you spend on it?


Just like others social media plays a great role in my life. I use social media in different ways because it helps me to stay in contact with my friends and family as well as I also use social media for my entertainment like for watching different videos related to comedy or related to fashion trends etc as well as I also use social media sometime to see that what is happening in this world and for this purpose I always like to listen news.

If I talk about timing then definitely I cannot tell exact timing of my each and every day but most of the time of my work I spend on social media as well as my business is also related to Facebook so my most of the time that I spend at social media is on Facebook so if I talk about minimum hours then these are 6 and if I talk about maximum hours nandi's are 8 that I spend in using social media apps.


🧘☑️ Name five ways social media can have a negative impact on your life and that of your loved ones


There are different ways in which social media can have negative impact on our life and some of the ways I am explaining here.

  • Very often we see social media and we also see different deals of different people and some people inspired by their lifestyle and on the other hand this inspiration also cause depression to them because when they compare their life style with their own lifestyle and when they are lot of difference between both life styles from this way this is negative impact on their mental health.

  • Cyber bullying is very negative for mental health of a person and as social media people hide their self behind screens and spread hate which is the three mental for well being of a person and for mental health.

  • Social media addiction is very negative for mental health because we all know that excess of everything is bad but when we use social media than it is just like addiction which basically trap mind of a person in another world and due to increase of screen time mental health of a person effects in wrong way

  • Privacy risks could be very harmful for mental health of a person because at social media any personal information can get viral which can make a person sick mentally.

  • Fear of missing out one thing that is present and available to your friend or to a person that is at social media and you have no access to that thing can make you anxious and anxiety is always related to your mental health.


🧘☑️ If you had to implement 5 rules to make sure that social media became HEALTHIER in your environment, what would they be?


If I want that social media become healthier in my environment and in other words if I want to see only positive effects of social media then I want to implement some of the rules I am sharing below.

  • I would be very kind and respectful for everyone because I know that if there is a person at social media then he or she also have same feelings like humans so I would avoid any talking related to hate and cyber bullying.

  • I would always like to take some of the necessary breaks from social media so that I may also concentrate on my personal and real life matters.

  • I would be very mindful for the content that I would create at social media and for this I would concentrate and I would think in a deep way that what should I post and what should I don't post at social media.

  • I would limit screen time for me because it is very important to stay away from social media for some time if you don't want to make you sick because every time if you would be in front of screen then it would be very mental for your eyes as well as screen race would be harmful for your mental retardation in a gradual way.

  • I would be very conscious about my privacy and I would maintain a regular system of check and balance in my privacy settings so that I may not have a fear of leak out of any of my personal information.

This is very true and I had experienced it in the past.

Sometimes, just immediately as I want to reply to a message sent to me by my loved one, I will find out that my phone has got switched off and this affects me for the whole day as I kept wondering what that person has to say.

And sometimes, when I'm offline and does not have sufficient data to browse the social media, I feel like I am left out as I don't know the current happenings online .

This is the same situation that I also face many times in my daily routine related to reply of my message but we should write these things if we want to keep ourself healthy related to mentality I wish you good luck and success and I appreciate your comment at my entry
