So friends have a look how I'm striving to create a balance in life.
How do you make sure you enjoy your favorite treats without eating too much and still eating healthy?
This is a point which is under control because I'm not an avid foody. But when it comes to favorite items in food, how can anybody avoid it?
I can, by having a platefull of veggies salad with some lemon juice or any othe sour sauce. And then in the main course, I just take a few spoons or chunks of my favorite recipe just for taste. Similarly, I like pizza with a lot of cheese, olives and mushrooms, so I make it at home or if I have a plane to hangout for a pizza party, I make sure not to go out without any food.
What are some fun activities or exercises you like to do to stay active without pushing yourself too hard?
Before this year, I was too lazy to do any exercise. But finally I figured out my favorite activity for relaxation. This is a 20 minute yoga. Recently I can only do a few poses because my body is not very flexible.
But the results are amazing. I think yoga is the best exercise to gain muscle and strength. I started this on the suggestion of my very good friend who is a doc of physiotherapy at Red Crescent hospital in my town. And if you guys are seeking a fun activity, you must opt for it. Believe me, the results will be amazing.
How do you make sure you get enough sleep without sleeping too much or staying up too late?
Well, this is a problem with which I couldn't help. I'm working on it but can't get my desired results. I tried a lot of tacts but it didn't work at all. Maybe some day I figure it out.
How do you manage the time you spend on screens, like phones or computers, so you can stay connected but also take breaks?
O yes! I managed it very well. I used my phone only for my essentials. I leave the useless scrolling because my mental health affected very badly due to continuous blue light of digital devices.
And if sometimes I use the screen too much, I make sure that I don't touch it for the same amount of time. Another trick which I used is to put my cell phone in my cupboard, so when I thought about using it, I had enough time to review it before picking it up. I just check my insta and what's app once or twice a day while having my tea. One point which I learned is reels and their content is not only a waste of time, but this damages our focus very critically.
How do you handle stress and find ways to relax that work for you?
Initially, I was Scarlett O hara, a character of Margrate Mitchell's Who, instead of facing every obstacle or it's worse effect, thinks that she will face it tomorrow, her signature line is "After all, tomorrow will be another day". And I think most of us do it, which leads to unhealed traumas. The results are worse.
So I decided to learn it. I learn to handle stress, but it came in a form which I don't know in any previous interaction, so this is still in process. Sometimes music works and sometimes not, similarly conversation with friends, yoga, a long walk to a nearby park, writing, a cup of tea, a book or movie, directly facing problem. I tried all but the results are the same. Sometimes it works, some time not.
You thought I'm going off the topic, but this is reality. I can't manage fully to balance my life but I never give up.
