CREATING AWARENESS FOR THE HEART, MAINTENANCE AND FUNCTIONS

Good day my friends, am once again to participate in this amazing contest title: creating awareness for the heart maintenance and functions, been organized by my favourite steemian @mesola. This contest will help us to know more about our heart, it's functions and how we can protect and keep our heart healthy.

In others to understand this process, I will advise you to look up to the diagram above.

Our heart is made of right atrium, the right ventricle, the left atrium, and the left The blood flow to the right atrium then goes to the right ventricle. This chambers helps in circulating the blood from the body to heart, then from the heart back to the body, in what way, let me explain, blood enter the right atrium next to the right ventricle, the right ventricle immediately pumb the blood to the lungs to mixed with oxygen, after mixing with oxygen the blood then flow back to the left atrium and then to the left ventricle.

When you place your hand on your chest, you will feel your heart beating. Those heartbeat are the process whereby the heart is sending blood throughout the body carrying oxygen to the body cells, which later return the blood to the heart, then to the lung to pick up oxygen.

So in a simple terms, we can say the process whereby the heart receives the de-oxygenated blood that has just travelled round the body, pumb It to the lungs to collect a fresh supply of oxygen, the pumb the re-oxygenated blood again round the body.

👉The reason why the plumbing blood to the body is essential is because the heart pumps oxygen blood to all parts of our body for cell function and survival, if not, our body cells would die.

👉In the process of plumbing blood round the body, the heart also pumps nutrients to our body's cells, giving the building blocks in other to function and repair themselves.

👉Plumbing blood round the body also help in getting rid of waste products from our body like carbon dioxide.

• ❤️Coronary artery disease is actually a disease which is caused when there's a build-up of plaque in the arteries that supply blood to the heart muscle. People with this kind of disease suffer high blood pressure, high cholesterol and diabetes.

• ❤️Heart valve disease which is mainly caused by an heart halves unable to function properly resulting in blocking blood flow. Heart attack and rheumatic fever are the effects of heart valve disease.

• ❤️Atrial fibrillation which is a disease, which happened when there's an irregular heartbeat resulting in blood clots and stroke. This disease result in age, high blood pressure, heart disease, and obesity.

• ❤️Heart failure is when the heart doesn't pump blood the way it should, leading to fluid building up in the body. High blood pressure, diabetes and obesity are the effects of this disease.

• ❤️Cardiomyopathy is a disease which affects the the heart muscle that making it difficult for the heart to pump blood. Genetic conditions, viral infections, and exposure to toxins are the effects of cardiomyopathy.

• ❤️Pericarditis occurs when there's an inflammation around the heart which result in diseases like viral infections, autoimmune disorders, and injury to the heart.

Now we have know the heart disease and effect, how do we keep our heart healthy?

• ♦️Eating healthy food or diet diet like fruits, vegetables, whole grains and avoiding processed foods.

• ♦️Getting enough sleep at least 7 to 8 hours of sleep each night.

• ♦️Staying away from soft drinks containing sucrose and fruit drinks.

• ♦️Doing something we enjoy, laughing out loud every day, cracking joke or watching movie, anything that can makes you laugh.
