Dear Steemian friends,
First of all, I would like inform you that I'm new in this platform, gradually, I am introducing to the every section of Steemit. I'm really impressed informing that there are discussions of every sphere of people and it really enhance the knowledge of us.
Specifically, the Healthy Steem community impressed me most because through this community, all of us can increase our knowledge about our health how to keep ourselves healthy.
Today, I'm going to take part in a contest organized in Healthy Steem community. The contest is titled as HEART ATTACK AND ITS CURE. This contest is organized by honourable @mesola. I've no word to show gratitude to @mesola for organizing such a kind of topic which will not only enhance our knowledge but also make us more conscious about our health. I seem that all of you will enjoy my writing.
Heart attack, which is medically known as "myocardial infarction" , can be defined as a situation of blockage of blood flow along with oxygen in any part of our heart. At that moment, heart can't get sufficient oxygen. If, blood flow isn't restored quickly, the muscles of heart will start to die.
This usually caused when there is a build-up of fat or cholesterol and other substances. Heart attack are common.
The number of heart attacks is being rapidly increased throughout the world. There are many causes of heart attack.
Here I mentioned some of them :-
- Number 1 :- High pressure of blood
We all know that the circulation of blood is is conducted by heart. When the pressure of blood is normal in the heart, there is no occurrence, all are okay. But when there is high pressure of blood, the heart can't run normally, at that moment, there happens heart attack.
- Number 2 :- Smoking
We all know that smoking is harmful gor us because it really damages our heart to a great extent. Smoking enhances blood vessels and increases the risk of plaque buildup.
Before smoking, our heart looks fine like a fresh fruit.
But after smoking, oh Herat looks like a black whole.
- Number 3 :- Diabetes
We all know that diabetes means the level of sugar in blood. When the sugar level increases in blood, there increases the risk of cardiovascular issues. Thus, High level of sugar in blood causes heart attack.
- Number 4 :- lack of physical activity
Sedentary(mean spending time mostly with seat) increases the risk of heart attack.
- Number 5 :- Street
Chronic stress may contribute to heart problems and heart attack may result from it.
- Number 6 :- Family history
Connecting with relatives having heart problems may increase the risk of heart attack.
- Number 7 :- Age
The risk of heart attack increases as the age advances. Because the old people mostly are sedentary.
There are many symptoms of heart attack. Here are mentioned some of them.
- Number 1 :- Chest pain
Pain in the centre of the chest may cause heart attack.
- Number 2 :- Pain in other parts of the body.
This may include one or more of arms, neck, the back, stomach etc.
- Number 3 :- Shortness of Breath
If there is a felling of breathless or discomfort in breathing, this may cause heart attack.
There are many other symptoms but I didn't familiar with them.
We can take many steps to prevent ourselves from heart attack.
Here are few of them:-
- Number 1 :- Healthy diet
There must be the presence of plenty vegetables, fruits, grains, protein and other basic needs of our body in our daily diet.
- Number 2 :- Taking exercise regularly
If, there is regular exercise in a human being, there is a normal circulation of blood in that human. If, he/she is sedentary, the blood will not circulate properly.
- Number 3 :- Conscious about weight
If, there is high weight in our body, there puts a pressure in heart. It may cause heart attack. So, we must observe our weight daily.
- Number 4 :- Avoidance of smoking
We must avoid smoking in order to fill our dream of being not attacked with heart. Smoking makes our heart black.
- Number 5 :- Conscious about diabetes
We must conscious about the sugar levels in our daily diet.
- Number 6 :- Stress
We must keep ourselves free from excess mental stress so that there is no pressure in heart.
There are many measures which can be taken to prevent ourselves from heart attack. But I don't know these.
I don't know more about the treatments.
Number 1 :- CABG
I am just familiar with bypass surgery and some steps. The term "Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery (CABG)" is known to us as bypass surgery. If there is more than one blockages, bypass surgery may be essential. There involve creation of new paths for blood circulation around the blocked arteries.Number 2 :- lifestyle changes
After a heart attack, there is a need of lifestyle changes such as, regular exercise, healthy heart system, avoidance of smoking, maintaining stress levels and many more.
After all, we must keep ourselves away from the activities which contribute to heart attacks.
I think here prognosis means the outcome of a patient after heart attack.
The prognosis of heart attack differs depending on various factors such as, damage level of heart muscle, how treatments are received by patient, and the overall health situation of the patient. The patient may undergo some problems :-
Like,
Heart failure. Blood pumping ability after heart attack may be weakened after a heart attack. It may lead to heart failure. At that moment, the heart can't provide enough blood as the body need.
After a heart attack, emotional distress may affect the recovery system.
The most common prognosis is there is a high risk of frequent heart attack after once in five years.
After a heart attack, complications depend on various factors like, how the patient gets treatment, how the life style changes of the patient, and the most important thing is that rehabilitation of cardiac greatly improve the outlook of the patient and decrease the risk of further complications.
Last but not the least, regular monitoring by a professional healthcare is essential to overcome this situation for a patient.
