Social media for me is a platform for connection Creativity and information exchange. I Allocate approximately 1-2 hours per day to Engage with various social media channels ensuring a mindful approach to its usage and its effects on my mental equilibrium.

  1. The perpetual cycle of comparison fosters feelings of inadequacy and self-doubt.
  2. Escalating stress levels stemming from the pressure to maintain a polished and faultless online image.
  3. Diminished focus and productivity due to the temptation of endless scrolling and constant notifications.
  4. Exposure to online harassment and cyberbullying leads to Emotional distress and trauma.
  5. The development of addictive behaviors often results in reduced real-life social interactions and physical activities.

It is worth knowing that social reduces some of the human features in us as we pay less attention to our fellow human and depend on a device for interaction. It is very disheartening that some people prefer staying alone with their phones connected to social media than spend time with their families.
