Have you noticed that in our world today and in most cities, a lot of people jog every morning, engage in some sporting activities to curtail the amount of fat stored up in their body
Obesity is a global health challenge and has increased over time as stated by the World Health Organization, statistics have it that.

Over 2 billion people worldwide are overweight, and of these, more than 650 million are classified as obese.

Obesity is the adverse form of being overweight, and this has been caused by food intake and some are hereditary(from the gene). Today we will explore how obesity affects our health considering both the physical and psychological aspects.

THE PHYSICAL EFFECT OF OBESITY ON OUR HEALTH.

JOINT PROBLEMS; Excess weight places additional stress on the joints most especially the knee, waist, hips and lower back, leading to severe pain in this body part known as arthritis

RESPIRATORY ISSUES; Overweight or Obesity can have a very detrimental effect on the respiratory system as it restricts lung expansion and makes breathing uneasy.

TYPE 2 DIABETES; As a science student I was told for sure that, indeed, diabetes is not caused by sugar but by the inability of the body to secrete insulin which will reduce or balance the sugar level in the blood(the human system). Excess accumulation of fat in the body disrupts insulin sensitivity, prevents insulin from functioning and as a result leads to an increase in the sugar level of the blood leading to diabetes.

LIVER DISEASES; Severe liver conditions such as cirrhosis are caused by the accumulation of fat in the liver, which can lead to the inability of the liver to function as it should.

THE PHYSICAL EFFECT OF OBESITY ON OUR HEALTH.

Read intently as I will summarize this effect in simple terms.
Obesity affects not only the physical health of humans but also the psychological state of the obese, obese individuals feel some level of depression, anxiety and low self-esteem due to societal stigma and the challenges associated with managing their health, obesity in severe cases may cause an individual to be isolated from social gathering because of their stature.

Addressing obesity has a multi-dimensional approach. Prevention efforts should focus on promoting healthy eating habits, regular physical activity, and education on nutrition from an early age. Schools, communities, and governments can play a vital role in creating environments that support healthy choices by organizing community sports games like football. In schools, obese children should participate fully in sporting activities, and the government can also help reduce the amount of sugary imported food sent into the country by enforcing forces for that purpose.

Exercise

In conclusion, I would advise Africans and other countries to discourage

"FEED FARMS"
for maternity mothers; the idea of feeding women for months to become overweight after giving birth these practices also encourages obesity among women.
