What is Preventive Medicine for you?
Check-ups is a medical word for prevention. Since I am writing in a medical community, I would define Prevention as a way of stopping an already acquired disease from manifesting, it could also be a way of stopping a disease wide-spread disease from reaching us.
From my definition of prevention, Preventive medicines are medically prescribed medicines taken to prevent an illness from manifesting, they help kill the pathogens(diseases-causing organisms) at an early stage.

Do you think it is important and necessary to visit the doctor at least once a year? Explain your answer!
It is not good to wait until an illness brings us down before we seek medical advice and treatment, so it is very necessary to see a doctor frequently even more than once a year, I think if an individual is too busy I would recommend them to see a doctor once in two months, once a year is unduly. Failure to see a doctor at least once a year can result in a higher/critical medical condition that may seem too complicated to solve, that is why the saying "prevention is better than cure health-wise" because seeing a doctor is a step to show concern for your health.

From my little awareness of some concepts in medicine. Pathogens are diseases causing microscopic animals that on continuous accumulation in the body system cause diseases with time, as I pointed out earlier preventive medicine helps in the killing of these animals so they will not cause diseases. So in simple terms, preventive medicine stops diseases from manifesting

I live in a part of my country known as the tropical rain forest characterized by cold weather, series of rainfall, and fluctuating climate, so the major disease affecting us has been malaria which could be acquired by the bites from a female anopheles mosquito. So oftentimes we go to the hospital to take medication for the cure of this disease. I said "cure" because we don't even know when we are infected until the effect manifests🤣. Malaria pathogen accumulates in a high number before the disease is showcased.

Friend, your participation is very good, preventive medicine is really about preventing the manifestations of diseases and we know that when we visit a doctor who does not provide the necessary tools to maintain optimal health.
Well, you describe it as Animals that transmit diseases and therefore must be killed to avoid and prevent the spread of these diseases!
These humid climates are responsible for diseases such as malaria, the good thing is that if you go to the hospital at the first symptoms, they will indicate the appropriate treatment to cure it!
