In today's post, I will be sharing with you all about this contest topic titled: Do you know your Health professionals? I know you will find it very interesting to read through.

What makes someone a health professional?

Someone can be a health professional only if He or She has acquired the requisite knowledge and clinical skills practice.

This person must be trained, certified or be registered with the license that quarantee his or her practice as a health professional.

Therefore, without undergoing series of training, having intensive knowledge and without the registered license, one can not be a health professional.

Name 5 different types of health professionals and explain what they do.

The following are the five types of health professionals;

1. Pharmacist
2. Dentist
3. Opticianary
4. Community Health practitioner
5. Nurse

PHARMACIST: A pharmacist is a health professional trained with the skill of preparing drugs and giving the drugs out as prescribed by the doctor. Pharmacist basically deals with drugs.

DENTIST: is a health professional who is with the skill of taking care of the mouth which consist of the teeth. They centers on providing care surgery to teeth problems.

OPTICIANARY: This health professionals centers on taking care of persons eye, correcting different eyes conditions like short sightness, long sightness etc. They provide eye lens and other medication measures for any eye diseases.

COMMUNITY HEALTH PRACTITIONER: This health professional are trained with knowledge and skills to practice in the community. They provide prevention measures, curative measures and rehalbitative measures.

They also do some minor surgery like suturing, circumcision and wound dressing etc. They also provide health education and counseling to the community. They make advocacy to community and ensures proper living of the people which promote their health and reduction of disease invasion and death.

NURSES: This health practitioners are trained with the knowledge and skills to care and provide recommended treatment to patients i.e those that are sick, most nurses works with the Doctors and give care as the doctors instruct or prescribed.

Do you have any favourite health professionals? Why?

YES!!

My favorite health professional is Namo Patience Awazi, my elder sister, She is a nurse. The reason why she is my favorite health professional is because of the passion and love she has for what she does.

Each time someone is sick, the kind of care and attention she usually shows towards that sick person is so heart touching and I love her plenty.

She's my favorite health professional and will always be🥰.

If you were allowed to be a healthy professional, which would you choose and why?

"I will love to be a community health professional"

Because of the vast knowledge and skills that I will learn,I will know the community diseases, know how to prevent them, it's causes and treatment and I will be trained with skills that I can practice even in my community.

Also, as a community health professional I will also be taught the essential meditation and first aid measures. Therefore, community health professional is the medical profession I would love to choose.
