Monkey pox is bacterial or viral?

According to my research i have learnt that mpox popularly known as monkey pox is a disease cause by virus, so yes monkey pox is a virus and not a bacteria.

In addition it is said the the monkey pox virus is in the same family as the virus that causes small pox and their victims always develop rashes in the body alongside with other symptoms.

What are primary symptoms of monkey pox appears

Some of the various primary symptoms that comes along with mpox are;

  • skin rash in the first 2-4 weeks
  • fever
  • headache
  • back pain

All this and many more including swollen lymph nodes and chills are the main primary symptoms of monkey pox that when this is being observed it is advisable to visit the doctor immediately.

Is monkey pox curable and if yes then how?

Still under research, though it may sound very absurd but research shows that there's no current approved antiviral treatment for mpox

And if in a serious case your Physician may prescribe some antiviral drugs like cidofovir or tecovirimat to help fight off the virus in the body

Also in addition, it is important to note that mpox can go away on it's own that is for most people depending on their body system while it's symptoms can definitely be managed at home.

This will be the end of my entry and i hope you all learnt something from it, i will like to invite
