The tongue and other muscles of the Stomatognathic System helps to move food particles to the Oesophagus where digestion takes place.Helps in tasting
The taste bud, which is part of the Stomatognathic System helps us in knowing the taste of different flavors.

Truth be told, I'm just hearing about the word Stomatognathic System for the first time, I had to do research before writing this post, I know about all the makeup of the Stomatognathic System like the teeth, Tongue, but I didn't know that a Word like that exist. I feel it's a unique and interesting System which is very important in the body.

The adult teeth in the Stomatognathic System is made up of 32 teeth,
- They're 8 incisors, 4 up and 4 down.
- 4 Canines, 2 up and 2 down.
- 8 Premolars, 4 up and 4 down.
- 12 Molars, 4 up, 4 down and with 4 Wisdom teeth.
The main function of the Dental organ which is the teeth is that it is used in Chewing food, it also helps to maintain the structure and the appearance of the face.

This is the Layer of tissue that is under the Enamel.Enamel

The following tips will help in the preservation of the teeth.
Brush your teeth twice daily, in the morning and at night.
Avoid licking too much sweet things.
Change your toothbrush every three months.
Always brush your teeth with Fluoride toothpaste.
Avoid smoking Cigarettes.
Eat food and fruits rich in Calcium which is good for the teeth.
Floss once daily in order to remove food particles in your teeth.
Make use of a Soft bristled toothbrush.
Avoid self meditation, visit the Dentist Incase you have toothache.
