When we have a cut on our skin or body, we must take good care of it and take good treatment. Injuries, although uncommon, can occur during everyday activities. Children may get hurt while playing, and adults often sustain minor injuries while cooking. Some injuries, like deep cuts, may take a long time to heal.

The author recounts an incident where a mug slipped, cutting their hand severely. Their mother used turmeric to help stop the bleeding, which proved effective. The experience highlighted the need for careful wound care, and the author learned the importance of caution during recovery, as healing can vary in speed.

A wound is an open injury on the skin, categorized into four stages based on severity. Stage one involves slight redness without skin breakage. Stage two features partial skin loss, while stage three penetrates through the skin into underlying fat. Stage four is the most severe, affecting muscle and bone.

Wounds can be classified as acute, typically resulting from injuries or surgeries, or chronic, which last over six weeks due to complications. The text provides an example of an acute wound.
Chronic inflammation, resulting from infections, insufficient blood supply, and repeated injuries, leads to problematic wounds due to cellular failure commonly seen in conditions like diabetes.

The three most common types of wounds are pressure ulcers, venous ulcers, and diabetic ulcers. Pressure ulcers are especially common in older, frail patients, affecting 2 to 10 percent of hospitalized individuals and up to a quarter of those in long-term care.

Thank you very much for reading the article. I invite @shahid76 @sanuu @ariful2 to participate in the competition. Hope you will participate in the competition.
