Health Matters NOISE POLLUTION

Hello my steemian friends,

This is my participation in the contest” Health Issues (14); “Noise Pollution “ In Healthy Steam organised by @sahmie

I also want to invite here @waterjoe , @ripon0630 and @pandora2010

What are some common sources of noise pollution in your area, and how do they affect your daily life?

The area where I live is an industrial area, primarily for sports goods manufacturing, and factories are springing up all around my house. The noise from these machines, the noise from city traffic engines, the noise from vehicle horns.

The noise from generators installed in industries, the noise from airplanes flying over the sky, the noise from DJ music at night functions in homes and hotels.

The number of dogs in my area is constantly increasing and so is the noise of these dogs barking all night. When they start barking, everyone starts barking in groups. This has a negative impact on my sleep. The above mentioned noises cause me mental distress.

Apart from this, my heart beat increases due to the loud speakers played in marriage and religious processions on the roads. Sometimes the heart gets shaken by the noise of their big speakers, and the glass of cars also cracks due to the sound waves. Excessive noise is destroying the peace of our life, we are neither able to sleep properly, nor think, nor do any work.

How do you think noise pollution affects our health and well-being in the long run?

Long-term exposure to noise pollution affects our hearing power, affects our blood pressure, we can get heart related diseases.

We also get high blood pressure, mental conflict, decrease in our thinking ability, problems in speaking and understanding, loss of digestive power due to lack of sleep, constipation etc. Excessive noise also causes irritability and also disrupts children's studies.

We can also get diabetes due to this noise. And when a person's health is not good, he lags behind economically and socially.

What are some effective ways to reduce noise pollution in urban areas? Can you think of any creative solutions?

We should ban noisy industries from entering the urban areas, we should make big vehicles free from pressure horns under new laws, we should allow speakers emitting noise only up to a certain decibel at the venues.

We should make arrangements to stop these noisy events at night. We should encourage the use of small vehicles instead of big vehicles.

We should use noise-controlled generators with canopies. Rather, we should focus more on solar energy instead of generators.

If you could design a quiet zone in your community, what features would it have, and why?

I think in the future, roads will need to be designed for pedestrians and cycle walkers. We will have to increase the number of gardens, bushes and trees in our cities which absorb noise waves.

Noise-absorbing techniques and panels will have to be used in the walls of buildings. We should also use earphones to listen to music.

Industries will have to be set up far away from urban areas. Colonies should be built far away from the main roads.

In urban areas, honking of horns, loud music events late at night, processions on the streets, etc. will have to be completely banned.

Dogs will have to be caught and sent to a forest area.

Use of electric vehicles will have to be promoted which are noise-free.

How do you think technology can help us deal with noise pollution in the future?

Yes, technology is moving ahead to play its role in controlling noise through new types of technologies.

These mainly focus on technology for reducing noise of engines, increasing steps in solar energy sector, construction of soundproofing materials for buildings, continuous development of electric vehicles and their use.

Use of high capacity solar panels in place of generators, emphasis on construction of greenhouses, provision of high chimneys of factories. New technology making busses , trains, and vehicles oprated with electric.

Technology is taking concrete steps towards controlling our noise pollution through sterilization campaign of animals, especially stray dogs, etc.

Thanks for reading my post, I pray to God for the progress and happy future of all Steemians.

With Great love and honour,

Sur-riti❤️
